    • A starting motor is mounted to an approximately central portion of an engine body along the axis of a crankshaft. An over-running clutch is mounted to a first end portion of the crankshaft at a position where a starting clutch is sandwiched between the over-running clutch and the starting motor. A starting gear reducer having gears respectively fixed to both ends of a rotational shaft overlapping the starting clutch 39 is provided between the starting motor and the over-running clutch.
