    • A rotary magnetic disc device for use in an electronic still camera or the like employing a magnetic disc pack which comprises a main body, a pack holder for storing the magnetic disc pack therein and a cover disposed outside of the pack holder, the pack holder and the cover being respectively mounted to the device main body such that they can be opened or closed freely. Engagement means is provided in the tip end portion of an erect member adapted to extend through an opening in the magnetic disc pack to be stored in the pack holder when the pack holder is closed and, on the other hand, a lock member engageable with the engagement means is provided on the lower surface of the cover, so that the cover can be locked by means of the engagement means of the erect member and the lock member in the cover.

    • A rotary magnetic disc device suitable for use in a magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus in an electronic still camera or the like. In the rotary magnetic disc device, there are provided three height positioning pins which are used to set a regulation plate at a predetermnined recording/reproducing position opposite to a magnetic head with a magnetic disc therebetween, and two of the height positioning pins are located in the neighborhood of an axis of rotation of a cover on which a regulation plate holder is resiliently supported, the positioning pins being located at a predetermined distance from each other. The improved arrangement of the positioning pins contributes to reduction of not only the size of the regulation plate holder but also an operation force necessary to operate the cover when closing it.

    • Provided is a surface communication apparatus that includes: propagation sheet through which electromagnetic waves are propagated; an electromagnetic wave transmission unit disposed on a surface of propagation sheet to transmit the electromagnetic waves to propagation sheet, and an electromagnetic wave reception unit disposed on the surface of propagation sheet to receive the electromagnetic waves propagated through propagation sheet. The electromagnetic wave transmission unit includes an electromagnetic wave generator, and a transmission electromagnetic wave coupler that couples electromagnetic waves generated by the electromagnetic wave generator with propagation sheet. The electromagnetic wave reception unit includes a reception electromagnetic wave coupler that couples the electromagnetic waves propagated through propagation sheet, and an electromagnetic wave output unit that outputs the electromagnetic waves coupled by the reception electromagnetic wave coupler. Propagation sheet has a periodic structure that sets wavelengths of the electromagnetic waves propagated through propagation sheet to be longer than the length of propagation sheet in its extending direction.
