    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability of a bent part of a spring plate bent and molded into a U-shape in side view by obtaining spring property of the spring plate in press-contact with a peripheral surface of a shaft part of an operating shaft to energize in a rotating direction from spring property of a facing operating piece itself in press-contact with the shaft part of the operating shaft, and to easily assemble the operating shaft into the spring plate molded into the U-shape. SOLUTION: The operating pieces 4a and 4a facing to the pair of spring plates 4 of a hinge device to control opening and closing of an opening/closing lid c are curved and molded into arc shapes so that the intermediate parts of the longitudinal direction may be extended in arc shapes to opposite sides. The extended parts of the arc-shaped operating pieces 4a and 4a are combined with the operating shaft 2 to be in press-contact with a peripheral surface of the shaft part 22 at an inner end side of the operating shaft 2. In a spring holding member 3, support surfaces 3a for slidably supporting loose end sides of the arc-shaped operating pieces 4a and 4a are provided at portions to be outer peripheral sides of the pair of the operating pieces 4a and 4a of the spring plates 4 held by the spring holding member 3.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make axial movement of a first disk smooth, which is carried out every time when a cover member is turned to be opened and closed, and to ensure electric continuity between a main body member side and the cover member side.
      SOLUTION: In the hinge apparatus of the folding instrument, a first disk 5 arranged in a first hinge cylinder 1 is provided with sliding pieces 50 made of elastic metal at its outer peripheral part so as to bend toward the outside end of the first hinge cylinder 1. The sliding pieces 50 are formed so as to expand outward as its length increases making a required inclination angle α. The sliding pieces 50 are slidably fitted into recessed grooves 1a, which are formed on the inside wall surface of the first hinge cylinder 1 along its axis, with the attitude of being compressed against elastic force.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assemble a hinge member on a stable pivotally supporting shaft in such a manner that a number of parts are aligned side by side in the axial direction and assembled on one pivotally supporting shaft with connection shafts fitted through their axial center portions, while avoiding the event that working errors are caused by their disassembly when building up a hinge device with the pivotally supporting shaft fitted to a first hinge cylinder of a body member and a second hinge cylinder of a cover member.
      SOLUTION: Members including a cylindrical body 3, a coil spring 8, a first disc 5, a second disc 6 and a fixed body 9 are aligned in the axial direction. The connection shaft 7a formed in a hollow rivet shape is fitted through axial center portions thereof at the side of the cylindrical body 3 and the connection shaft 7b formed in a shaft bar shape with a head portion is fitted therethrough at the side of the fixed body 9. The connection shaft 7b is caulked at its inner end to the cavity of the connection shaft 7a in the hollow rivet shape and integrally joined to the connection shaft 7a. Then, the hinge member w is assembled in integral combination with theses.
