The racket includes a vibration damping unit located about at the racket handle.

The frame profile comprises four trough-shaped depressions which are arranged opposite to one another in pairs and essentially symmetrical with respect to the longitudinal axis of the racket. The depressions are preferably formed in the area between two o'clock and four o'clock and/or eight o'clock and ten o'clock on the racket head. Particularly preferably, the positions are at about three o'clock and/or nine o'clock. The racket of the present invention thus exhibits particularly advantageous ball control characteristics.
