    • PURPOSE:To permit tiles with ledge to be piled-up mechanically, keeping said tiles to be slided by the size of ledge by installing a rotor rotatably between a conveyor for introducing tiles and a conveyor for leading-out tiles and installing a holding member having a specific form onto said rotor. CONSTITUTION:When tiles, for example tiles with ledge are piled-up a group A of tiles with ledge are erected in row form and fed onto the holding member 5 of a rotor 3 by the first conveyor 1. Then, the first conveyor 1 is stopped, and the rotor 3 is driven simultaneously. Then, the rotor 3 is turned frontward and shifts vertically, upward, and scoops-up a group A of tiles with ledge one by one, keeping a stage difference, supporting the tile at the top edge by means of a lean plate 7. When, the rotor 3 is turned frontward by 90 deg., a group A of tiles with ledge are turned-down frontward and piled-up, and loaded onto the second conveyor 2 and sent to a bondling position. Thus, a group A of tiles with ledge are piled-up mechanically in each prescribed number, slided by the size of ledge.

    • PURPOSE: To ease the tile bundling work in the next stage by rotating by 90° the tile groups conveyed upright as well as by piling them in a cascade form.
      CONSTITUTION: A rotor 3 is provided between a conveyor 1, which conveys a tile groups A upright, and another conveyor 2, which conveys A flat. The rotor 3 consists of a tile retainer 7 and a stair-shaped, tile holder 5. During the tile group A is rotated by 90°, the rotor 3 rearranges the tile group A flat, shifting each tile by "a" at the end by using the tile holder 5, and places them on the conveyor 2. This end-shift by "a" permits the tile group A to be bundled in a stable manner.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wind resisting roofing tile whose wind resistance is enhanced by solving the problem of the susceptibility of damage easily caused upon the application of an external force, particularly from above, to its horizontal part in the event of a collision during transportation or if it is stepped on during installation, because its engagement protrusion is shaped like a hook where an upright part and a horizontal part are continuously formed; and to provide a wind resisting structure of a tiled roof using the tile.

A through hole 8 which penetrates a tile body 1 from the surface 6 is formed. An engagement step 11 is provided outside a flashing 13 at the head side of a lower overlapping part 3. The plate 9 is positioned on the protruding part 5 of the lower tile in such a manner that a portion of the plate 9 is located above the engagement step 11 of the upper tile. A fastener penetrating the plate 9 and the hole 8 is driven into a roof bed to secure the plate 9 to the tile. The protruding part 5 simply protrudes toward the tile body 1 and the fear of damage is extremely small. The upper surface of the step 11 at the head side of the tile which tends to float up when the tiles are laid is made to abut on the stopper plate 9 installed when the tiles are laid, to prevent the head side of each tile from floating up when laid.
