    • A drive type operating mechanism for locking gates, windows, double-wing doors and the like includes push rods which are movable longitudinally in opposite directions to effect locking of the upper and lower ends of the door with the surrounding framework. The mechanism is connected for actuation by a lever handle through an arrangement of follower elements that are slidable supported in a lock case. A nut sleeve follower which is rotatable by the lever handle has one claw which cooperates with a groove in one longitudinally movable follower, and a second claw which cooperates with a transversely slidable intermediate follower which in turn cooperates with a groove in the second longitudinal follower, this arrangement ensuring that upon rotation of the handle the followers (and hence the locking bolts) move in opposite directions. A lock mechanism ensures that the longitudinally movable followers are not inadvertently moved from their end limiting positions.

    • A detent assembly—namely of pairs of sub-assemblies of which the individual ones comprise spatially directly associated surfaces at which projecting elements cooperate with engaging elements in prestressed manner—comprises at least one detent element within a detent sub-assembly, said detent element being retained prestressed within an obliquely directed guide in a manner that it projects beyond a detent sub-assembly outer surface and that it enters an aperture sub-assembly while being obliquely prestressed into a recess of an opposite aperture outer surface and rests only unilaterally and point-wise against associated rim sites of the mutually associated interlocking zones. A preferred application relates to a handle being supported rotatably but in axially fixed position by a stop fitted with a disk connected to a handle extension and comprising circumferential interlocking recesses, for instance notches. The stop is fitted with guides containing compression springs to prestress balls and to guide them at an angle to the line of symmetry of the notches. To attain play-free interlocking, the guide-supported detent balls act point-wise on the interlocking notches of the disk.

    • A pump gun (10) comprises a barrel (11), a main stock part (12), a fore stock (12) supported in longitudinally displaceable manner and is linked to a breech lock (17) which, in the closed position of the pump gun (10), can be made to engage the rearward barrel end (21). The breech lock (17) and the fore stock (12) are linked to each other in a manner that upon displacing the fore stock (12), the breech lock (17) can be driven in the opposite direction to that of the fore stock (12). As a result, the pump gun (10) may be safely operated without recourse to a stop and, in the ready to fire initial state, is devoid also of any pumping excursion gap. The invention moreover offers a weapon matching marksman ergonomics and esthetics in its closed or ready to shoot state.

    • The invention relates to a firearm (10), in particular a single or multi-shot repeating rifle comprising a stock (11), a barrel (30) axially displaceable relative to the stock (11) and resting on or in a linear guide (20), a cartridge chamber to receive a cartridge being constituted in said barrel, further a breech (40) fitted with a breech cap (41) to seal the cartridge chamber and axially affixable in the barrel end (32) when the firearm (10) is closed, and further a locking unit (80) to lock the firearm into the closed position. The linear guide (20) comprises at least one guide rod (21), guide fork or the like linked or linkable to the barrel (30) and guided in sliding manner within the stock (11). This design leads to a compact and easily manufactured firearm with a slender and attractive appearance. The firearm (10) furthermore is made of fewer parts, resulting in simple disassembly and small shipping size.

    • A latch and lockset system comprises a common unit having a socket (30) that houses a rotor (40) pivotably supporting a catch (50) on a pin (53) and attached to latch means (handles 20, 22). As the lockset (10) is assembled, its components (50, 53, 40, 33/34, 23) secure themselves successively.
