    • An acoustic communication method and device are provided that filter an audio signal to attenuate a high frequency section of the audio signal. A residual signal is generated that corresponds to a difference between the audio signal and the filtered signal. A psychoacoustic mask is generated for the audio signal based on a predetermined psychoacoustic model.
