    • A display apparatus includes a plurality of pixel units and each pixel unit includes a substrate, a first electrode, a second electrode, an image display part and a protective layer. The first electrode is formed on the substrate. The second electrode is formed over the first electrode while interposing a first insulating layer therebetween to define a TSC (tunnel-shaped cavity) extending in a first direction between the first and second electrodes. The image display part is provided in the TSC to display an image according to an electric field generated by the first and second electrodes. The protective layer covers the second electrode and seals the TSC. The display apparatus having the above structure is manufactured by forming the first electrode, a sacrificial layer and the second electrode and forming the image display part by removing the sacrificial layer.

    • A display apparatus includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a pixel layer and an adhesive part. The first substrate includes an adhesive area, fiber bundles and a base material which is impregnated between the fiber bundles. The second substrate includes an adhesive area, fiber bundles and a base material which is impregnated between the fiber bundles. The pixel layer is between the first and second substrates and includes a display area. The adhesive part is between the first substrate and the second substrate, is in each of the adhesive areas of the first and second substrates, and seals the pixel layer between the first and second substrates. The adhesive area of the first or second substrate includes an exposure area through which the fiber bundles are exposed, and the adhesive part contacts the exposure area.

    • An exemplary embodiment of a display device according to the present invention includes; a cholesteric liquid crystal display including a plurality of cholesteric liquid crystal regions, wherein each of the plurality of cholesteric liquid crystal regions respectively reflect light of predetermined colors, and the plurality of cholesteric liquid crystal regions are classified into two or more different types according to the predetermined color of the reflected light, and an assistance display device including a plurality of emitting regions, wherein each of the plurality of emitting regions is disposed in alignment with one of the plurality of cholesteric liquid crystal regions, and each of the plurality of emitting regions respectively emits light of substantially the same color as the predetermined color of the light reflected by the cholesteric liquid crystal region with which it is aligned.
