    • An electrochemical measuring sensor for determining the oxygen content of gases, such as exhaust gases of internal combustion engines, includes a housing having an annular sealing seat defined on an inner surface thereof; a sensor element which is comprised of a solid electrolyte body which is oxygen-ion conducting, which has a form of a tube having a closed end and which has an annular shoulder provided thereon; and a seal ring positioned between the annular sealing seat of the housing and the annular shoulder of the solid electrolyte body, and including a plurality of resilient elements distributed thereon. Each of the plurality of resilient elements has a lower portion and an upper portion angled toward the housing, and the seal ring has a clear width so that each lower portion rests on and is mechanically prestressed against the annular shoulder of the sensor element and each upper portion is mechanically prestressed against the housing, whereby a tight seal of the sensor element to the housing is provided and the sensor element is maintained within the housing under mechanical prestress and secure against relative rotation.

    • The invention proposes a measuring-probe arrangement for detecting gases flowing in a gas conduit, especially exhaust gases flowing in an exhaust conduit of internal combustion engines. The measuring-probe arrangement has a measuring element (13) which is surrounded in sealing fashion by a housing (11). The section of the measuring element (13a) located at the measured-gas end of the measuring-probe projects from the housing (11) and is surrounded with a clearance by a protective tube (21) which is fixed by one end section on the housing (11) and has one or more openings (22) for the measured gas. The measuring probe (10) is arranged in such a way in the gas conduit (30) that the gas opening (22) is arranged on that side of the protective tube (21) which faces away from the flow (35) of the measured gas.

    • A gas measurement sensor (10) which sealingly encloses an axially oriented sensor (27) having an elongated, planar shape in the longitudinal bore (19) of its metal housing (11); while the section (27/1) on the gas measuring side of the sensor (27) has at least one sensor element (38) and possibly heating elements, the end section (27/3) on the connecting side is provided with layered contact surfaces (36), which are in contact with the sensor elements (38)/heating elements via strip conductors (37). A connector plug (43) surrounding the sensor (27) on the connecting side consists of a contact element support (44), an opposite wall (45), contact elements (46) and an annularly-shaped spring element (47); because of its mechanical pre-stressing, the spring element (47) presses the contact elements (46) of the contact element support (44) and of the opposite wall (45) against the contact surfaces (36) of the sensor (27). On the connecting side the contact elements (46) have connecting points (56) for connecting conductors (57). The connector plug (43) allows the installation on the sensor element (27) without damage to the sensor contact surfaces (36) and possible coatings on connector plug contact elements (46).

The seal (19) is inserted as a pre-sintered, deformable sealing body (19') into the housing (12), between a ceramic molded body on the side of the measured gas and a ceramic molded body on the connection side (18, 20); the pre-sintered sealing body (19') can be deformed under pressure. The ceramic molded parts (18, 20) and the sealing body (19') have respective axially-extending throughgoing holes (32, 42, 52). The sealing body (19') has formed-on structures that narrow the cross section of the throughgoing hole (42) and are deformed by the sensor element (22) when the sensor element (22) is inserted such that the sensor element (22) is stopped, arrested or fixed in the installed position in the throughgoing hole (42) by the formed-on structures. The facing end faces of the ceramic molded parts (18, 20) and of the sealing body (19') each have form-fitting engaging elements that engage one another and rest against the opposite, touching end faces, which engaging elements orient the ceramic molded parts (18, 20) and the sealing body (19') radially such that the respective throughgoing holes (32, 42, 52) extend in alignment with one another.
