摘要： An implantable atrial defibrillator for applying cardioverting electrical energy to the atria of a human heart. The atrial defibrillator includes a first detector for sensing a depolarization activation wave at a first pair of locations of the heart and generating a first initiation signal and a second detector for sensing the depolarization activation wave between a second pair of locations of the heart and generating a second initiation signal. The atrial defibrillator also includes a timing circuit for timing the time between immediately successive depolarization activation waves of the heart in response to one of the first and the second initiation signals for commencing the timing. The atrial defibrillator also includes a cardioverting circuit for applying the cardioverting electrical energy to the atria of the heart when the atria of the heart are in need of cardioversion and when the timer times a time greater than a predetermined time interval.

摘要： A helmet features a sound management mechanism within a hard exterior shell and an interior of expanded polystyrene foam. Ear cups embedded within the shell surround the ears, with a torus-shaped soft material forming a seal against the wearer's head. The helmet allows the transition of ear cups between engaged and disengaged positions. The engaged position is against the head. The disengaged position is away from the head, allowing easy placement and removing of the helmet. Positions may be transitioned using one hand. The helmet may include lateral adjustment of ear cups, and some versions incorporate electronic audio features like noise cancellation, communication capabilities, and wireless connectivity.

摘要： The invention provides a device, assembly, and method for transoral endoscopic restoration of a gastroesophageal flap valve. The invention also provides a self-steering and self-closing tissue fixation device for tissue fixation, and an invaginator device for gripping and maneuvering tissue. The restoration device includes a longitudinal member arranged for transoral placement into a stomach, a tissue shaper carried on the longitudinal member that causes stomach tissue to assume a shape related to a gastroesophageal flap, and a tissue fixation device that maintains the shaped stomach tissue in a shape approximating a gastroesophageal flap. The tissue shaper may include a mold. The device may include the invaginator device for gripping and maneuvering esophageal tissue to aid restoration of the gastroesophageal flap, and may include the tissue fixation device.

摘要： Disclosed is a drug infusion system comprising a drug infusion device having a reservoir, a window for viewing the contents of the reservoir, a cannula arranged to be deployed beneath the skin of a patient, and an actuator configured to be manually actuated to drive a medicament from the reservoir to the cannula. The system also has a cannula cover and a needle handle that holds a needle for insertion into the patient. The cannula cover and needle handle are detachably attached to the drug infusion device, and each is attachable to the other. The device further comprises a septum and a septum pincher to seal the device. The device also comprises a pumping mechanism, part of which are a last-dose lock-out mechanism and an occlusion detection mechanism, both of which operate on the same actuator.

The valves establish fluid connection between the reservoir and the pump when in a first valve configuration and establish fluid connection between the pump and the outlet when in a second valve configuration. At least two of the valves isolate the outlet from the reservoir when the valves are in the first valve configuration.
