    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular lighting fixture capable of surely emitting heat generated by a light source unit to the outside of a lamp chamber by an inexpensive and simple constitution.
      SOLUTION: A heat transfer body 20 constituted by elastically holding a heat transfer material 22 on a resin material 21 having flexibility is interposed between an LED substrate 11 and a back cover 7, and the LED substrate 11 and the back cover 7 are thermally connected to each other via the hear transfer body 20. As a result, the heat generated by the light source unit 10 can be surely emitted to the outside of the lamp chamber 2 by a simple and inexpensive constitution. In other words, the heat transfer body 20 is inexpensively obtained, and easy in molding by being composed mainly of the resin material 21. The heat transfer material 22 can be interposed between the LED substrate 11 and the back cover 7 so as to be changeable according to the tilting state of the light source unit 10 by elastically holding the heat transfer material 22 on the resin material 21.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reduction or the like in the lifetime characteristics of a mercury-free metal halide lamp.
      SOLUTION: The metal halide lamp includes a discharge vessel 1, having a discharge space 14 and sealing sections 12a, 12b. The discharge vessel 1 contains a halogenated metal and rare gases, and a discharge medium without containing any mercury is sealed. A pair of electrodes 3a2, 3b2 is arranged opposingly in the discharge space 14, and ends at the side of the base part of the electrodes 3a2, 3b2 are joined to pieces of metal foil 3a1, 3b1, respectively. Lead wires 3a3, 3b3 are joined to the other end sides of the pieces of metal foils 3a1, 3b1. In this state, the pieces of metal foil 3a1, 3b1 are sealed airtightly by the sealing sections 12a, 12b. Irregular sections 4a, 4b are formed at a region including an area near the junction of the metal foil 4 and an electrode shaft 3a. The irregular sections 4a, 4b suppress the reaction of free halogen and a metal halide, thus extending the lifetime of the lamp.
