    • A frictional vibration damper, in particular for washing machines with an oscillatory support of a washer unit has an approximately tube-shaped housing and a tappet displaceable in it. An articulation element is provided at the outer end of each the housing and the tappet. Further, a friction piston bearing with a friction coating on the internal wall of the housing is formed on the tappet, which friction piston is extendable by means of a linearly operating servomotor. In order to achieve high safety in operation at little expenditure, the servomotor is arranged in the tappet. It is formed by an electrically heatable thermoactuator element having a housing with a piston which changes its position relative to the housing upon heating. The piston of the servomotor directly bears against an expansion member serving to expand the friction piston.

In order to easily detach the gas spring (8) from the chair seat or the table top, the housing (9) of the gas spring (8) is disposed radially fixed in an additional tube (20) having the fastening segment (21), wherein one end of the housing (9) axially rests against a stop in the area of the fastening segment (21) and wherein the other end rests against a fastening element (24), detachably connected with the tube (20).

    • A frictional damper has a tubular housing and a slide which is guided slidably in this housing in the direction of its longitudinal axis.     • A gas spring with end positions damping has a cylindrical housing filled with a fluid under pressure, in which a piston rod, sealingly extending from one end of the housing, is disposed to be coaxially slideable and on the inner end of which a piston is attached. To create an end position damping that is simple in structure, and which can be used purely pneumatic, purely hydraulic or hydropneumatic, an auxiliary piston in the form of a throttle piston is slidingly disposed on the piston rod, which is supported via an energy accumulator towards the end of the housing where the piston rod exits. The piston abuts against this auxiliary piston at the end of the extension movement of the piston rod. Its throttle effect is larger during movement in the direction toward the end where the piston rod exits than in the opposite direction.
