    • Head stack assembly coupling at least two micro-actuators sharing lateral control signal. Any two adjacent micro-actuators respond to lateral control signal by opposite lateral directions. With pairs of micro-actuators, lateral motion of the micro-actuators will be cancelled, essentially leaving head stack assembly without induced torque. With odd numbers of micro-actuators, head stack assembly will effectively experience only lateral motion of one micro-actuator, minimizing induced torque. The micro-actuators may use electrostatic effect and/or piezoelectric effect to create lateral motion. The micro-actuators may further include a vertical actuation capability, which may preferably be independent of the lateral control signal. The servo controller operates based upon micro-actuator being used. Embedded circuit includes servo controller. The hard disk drive containing head stack assembly and further containing servo controller. Manufacturing hard disk drive and head stack assembly. The head stack assembly and hard disk drive, as products of these manufacturing processes.

    • A secondary battery includes a can having an interior space, an electrode assembly provided in the interior space of the can, and a cap assembly seated on an opening formed in the can to seal the can and electrically connected to the electrode assembly. The cap assembly includes a cap plate connected to the opening to seal the can; a tab plate mounted to one side of the cap plate and connected to the electrode assembly; an insulating plate interposed between the cap plate and the tab plate; an electrode pin passing through the cap plate, the tab plate, and the insulating plate to interconnect these elements; and an insulating gasket interposed between the cap plate and the electrode pin.     • Provided are a receiver and a receiving method for a scalable bandwidth in a mobile station of an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) system. The receiving method includes the steps of: (a) filtering a received RF signal; (b) oscillating a frequency according to a center frequency control signal to output a local oscillation frequency; (c) down-converting the filtered RF signal by using the local oscillation frequency; (d) scalable-filtering the down-converted signal while adjusting a bandwidth according to a bandwidth control signal; (e) controlling gain of the scalable-filtered signal; (f) converting the gain-controlled analog signal into a digital signal by using a sampling frequency matching with a corresponding bandwidth according to an ADC control signal; and (g) demodulating the converted digital signal, outputting the center frequency control signal, the bandwidth control signal, and the ADC control signal according to control information received from an upper layer.

    • A pre-distortion apparatus of a power amplifier includes: a pre-distortion unit configured to generate a pre-distorted signal of an input signal by calculating a magnitude of the input signal and outputting a complex correction coefficient corresponding to the calculated magnitude of the input signal, and provide the generated pre-distorted signal as an input of the power amplifier; and a complex correct coefficient update unit configured to generate an error signal by comparing an output signal of the power amplifier with the input signal and updating the complex correction coefficient to minimize a magnitude of the generated error signal, wherein the pre-distortion unit provides a constant bias value corresponding to the magnitude of the input signal as a bias of the power amplifier while updating the complex correction coefficient.
