    • A method for wireless network communication is provided. The method comprises determining, by a transmitter including a quantity of antennas, a quantity of transmitted layers; mapping a quantity of data symbols to the antennas using a quantity of precoders; generating a quantity of demodulation reference signal (DMRS) antenna ports based on the quantities of the antennas, the transmitted layers, and the precoders; and determining whether to precode at least one of the DMRS antenna ports with the precoders. The method further maps the precoded data symbols and the DMRS antenna ports to a quantity of resource elements. The method then modulates a signal comprising the resource elements and transmits the modulated signal to a receiver. Subsequently, the method estimates a channel received by the receiver over the DMRS antenna ports.

    • A communication method and apparatus are provided. The method includes: A first network device generates first indication information. The first indication information is used to indicate a first downlink resource, and indicate whether second indication information exists in a first time unit. The second indication information is used to indicate a second downlink resource. The first downlink resource and the second downlink resource are used to carry downlink data. The first network device sends the first indication information in the first time unit. Because the first indication information may be used to indicate whether the second indication information exists, if a terminal device detects the first indication information in the first time unit, and the first indication information indicates that the second indication information does not exist in the first time unit, the terminal device may stop a blind detection process on the second indication information in advance. This effectively reduces blind detection complexity of the terminal device, allows the terminal device to perform fast PD SCH demodulation, and avoids a technical problem of high power consumption caused by always blindly detecting two pieces of indication information in the conventional technology.

    • This application provides a channel state information reporting method and apparatus. The method includes: A terminal device receives M pieces of downlink control information, where first downlink control information in the M pieces of downlink control information indicates a first channel state information configuration, the first channel state information configuration is associated with a first channel state information interference measurement CSI-IM resource group, and the first CSI-IM resource group includes N 1 CSI-IM resources, where M and N 1 are positive integers, and N 1 is greater than 1; and the terminal device measures a target CSI-IM resource, and reports channel state information, where the target CSI-IM resource is determined by the terminal device from the N 1 CSI-IM resources based on M, and a quantity of target CSI-IM resources is less than N 1 . According to a channel state information reporting method and apparatus in the embodiments of this application, dynamic information exchange can be avoided, and accuracy of a channel state information measurement result can be improved. The method provided in the embodiments should be used in a communications system, for example, V2X, LTE-V, V2V, internet of vehicles, MTC, loT, M2M, and internet of things.
