摘要： Systems and methods are disclosed to provide positioning enhancement to wireless systems to determine UE positioning using UE measurements. A method implemented by a UE for enabling positioning calculation includes receiving a Signal to Interference plus Noise Ratio (SINR) threshold from a network for filtering positioning measurements and performing a plurality of positioning measurements. The method also includes removing from the positioning measurements each measurement that does not meet the SINR threshold, and sending remaining positioning measurements that meet the SINR threshold to the network. Another method implemented by a network component includes receiving a plurality of positioning measurements with a plurality of corresponding SINRs from a user device and removing from the positioning measurements each measurement with a corresponding SINR that is less than or equal to a pre-determined SINR threshold. The remaining positioning measurements with corresponding SINRs greater than the SINR threshold are then used for positioning calculation.

摘要： Signaling a Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP) or Reference Signal Received Quality (RSRQ) measurement of a wireless channel is achieved by sending an measurement bandwidth ( measbandwidth ) indicator to a receiver that mandates a specific measurement bandwidth for performing the RSRP or RSRQ measurement. By virtue of receiving the measbandwidth indicator, the receiver is required to perform the RSRP or RSRQ measurement over a portion of the wireless channel that is equal to the measurement bandwidth specified by the measbandwidth indicator.

摘要： Some embodiments include an apparatus, method, and computer program product for enhanced direct secondary cell activation in a 5G wireless communications system. A user equipment (UE) can receive a Radio Resource Control (RRC) command from a 5G Node B (gNB) via a Primary Cell (PCell) or via a Primary Secondary Cell (PSCell) that includes configuration data for a Secondary Cell (SCell), where the SCell operates in Frequency Range 2 (FR2). The RRC command includes a first Transmission Configuration Indicator (TCI) state for the SCell, and the UE can activate the SCell for the UE based at least on the configuration data, concurrently with the first TCI state for receiving the PDCCH transmission. The UE can receive a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) transmission via a first antenna beam from the SCell, where the first antenna beam is based on the first TCI state.

摘要： A user equipment (UE) is provided to select an uplink transmission beam to communicate with a base station in a secondary cell of a carrier aggregation (CA) scheme. The UE can communicate with a first base station in a primary cell (PCell), and receive a command from the wireless network to activate a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmission to a second base station in a secondary cell (SCell). The second base station can be in a being-activated state. The UE can determine whether an uplink spatial relation configuration is provided to the UE, and determine whether the UE supports beam correspondence. Based on the determinations, the UE can select an uplink transmission beam for the PUCCH transmission to the second base station.

The UE can communicate with a first primary base station in a first primary cell (PCell) and a second primary base station in a second PCell. The UE has dual connectivity in the second PCell using a first wireless carrier to communicate with the second primary base station and a second wireless carrier to communicate with a secondary base station in a primary secondary cell (PSCell). The UE receives a message from the first primary base station to perform a handover procedure. The UE performs the handover procedure according to the received message, and further perform an addition procedure for the secondary base station in parallel with the handover procedure. A start time of the addition procedure can be before an end time of the handover procedure.

A CFRA transmit timing can be determined based on the CSI-RS rough timing or a CSI-RS fine timing that is derived from a timing and frequency (T/F) tracking operation on the CSI-RS. Reference signal receive power (RSRP) measurement (s) can be made on the CSI-RS for performing the CSI-RS based CFRA procedure with transmissions according to the CSI-RS transmit timing of the CSI-RS that satisfies an RSRP threshold.

摘要： Some aspects include an apparatus, method, and computer program product for beamforming to perform received signal strength indicator (RSSI) measurements in a 5G wireless communications system. This beamforming may apply to RSSI measurements in an unlicensed spectrum. In some aspects, user equipment (UE) may use beam sweeping to analyze multiple received beams and to determine an RSSI measurement. When using beam sweeping, network nodes may use scheduling and/or measurement restrictions to avoid data collisions. These restrictions may apply to multiple active serving cells. In some aspects, a UE may use beam selection to determine an RSSI measurement. For example, the UE may select one or more beams from a serving component carrier (CC). In some aspects, a network node may indicate to the UE which beams to use for the RSSI measurement. In some aspects, the UE may use a frequency domain resource to perform the RSSI measurement.
