摘要： The present invention provides an interface unit of a base station control system and a detection method thereof. The method includes: a packet transceiver module of the interface unit sends a first detection message on a link to be detected, and a destination IP of the first detection message is the IP of the interface unit itself; the interface unit judges whether a second detection message is received during a scheduled period of time, and the second detection message is the message that the first detection message loops back to the packet transceiver module of the interface unit, through a physical layer of the interface unit; if the interface unit does not receive the second detection message during the scheduled period of time, or the received second detection message is different from the first detection message, it determines that the interface unit is abnormal. The interface unit includes the packet transceiver module, a judgment module and a determination module. The solution provided by the present invention can detect the fault of the interface unit speedily, without affecting the transmission of normal service messages.
