    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch outer less liable to generate a cast cavity or a rippled surface and capable of securing a centrifugal strength and a torsional strength over the entire length of fins by distributing stress against a centrifugal force and a torsional torque acting on the fins of the clutch outer.
      SOLUTION: In this clutch outer of a multi-disk clutch, multiple sheets of friction plates and clutch plates in a stacked state are stored in a space between the clutch outer 11 in which a plurality of cutouts directed in the axial direction of a bottomed cylindrical body and cut out are formed in the circumferential direction and a clutch inner in which a plurality of grooves directed in the axial direction are formed in the outer peripheral surface in the circumferential direction, and the outer peripheral projected parts of the friction plates are fitted to the cutouts of the clutch outer and the inner peripheral projected parts of the clutch plates are fitted to the grooves of the clutch inner, and the friction plates and the clutch plates are pressed against each other by a pressing plate disposed on the opening end face side of the clutch outer to transmit a power. A continuous annular part 16 free from cutout is formed integrally with the opening end part of the clutch outer 11.
