    • PURPOSE:To support the weight of an outboard motor and obtain a favorable sense of steering and prevent transmission of vibration by forming a projecting portion by which an elastic body portion is made to partially abut on a casing when a small pressing force is exerted on the surface of the elastic body portion or the inner face of the casing, and which is crushed when a large pressing force is exerted so that the elastic body portion abuts at its whole face on the casing. CONSTITUTION:A projecting portion 203a-1 by which an elastic body portion 203 is made to partially abut on a casing so as to fully absorb vibration when an engine is rotated at low speed i.e., thrust is small is formed at the front end face of the elastic body portion 203 in such a manner as projecting forward by L4 from a plane portion 203a-1 formed on the right and left sides of the projecting portion 203a-1, and a channel 203a-3 for ventilation during assembly is formed in the side face of the elastic body portion 203. The projecting portion 203a-1 of the elastic body portion 203 is made to abut on the abutting portion 205a-1 of a cap 205 and the plane portion 203a-2 of the elastic body portion 203 is spaced apart by L4-L3 from and opposite to the rear projecting portion 205a-2 of the cap 205.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform judder reduction control by counting a frequency when the first and second frequency constituents in clutch output shaft rotational fluctuation exceed the first and second threshold values and determining judder when the first counting value reaches the first predetermined value. SOLUTION: By means of a rotation fluctuation detecting means 100, pulse cycles are measured by sampling at a fixed period after the waveform shaping of outputs from input/output rotational speed sensors 222, 224 for a starting clutch, and a mean value for the movement of the starting clutch is computed, and on the basis of the mean value, the number of revolutions is computed at a fixed period so as to be used as an input/output shaft rotational speed of the shafting clutch. A starting clutch slip ratio is computed from a ratio between them so as to be filter-processed in the first and second filter means 104, 105 via an alternating current waveform deforming means 102. Subsequently, the first and second threshold values are set in the first and second threshold value setting means 106, 108, the filter waveforms are compared with the threshold values in the first and second counting means 110, 112, a frequency of the waveforms exceeding the threshold value is counted, and it is determined whether judder is caused because of vibration or not by means of a determining means. If it is determined that judder is based on vibration, control by means of a judder reduction control executing means 116 is carried out.
