    • PURPOSE:To make a lift controllable in two stages, by utilizing a chamber, which houses a spring to energize a needle valve in the close direction, as a back pressure chamber, and letting internal pressure act on the this needle valve via the member set up between the spring and the needle valve. CONSTITUTION:A unit injector is constituted by installing a nozzle part 3, having a needle valve 20 built-in, in the lower part of a pump part 2 with a plunger 5 being reciprocated by rotation of a cam. The needle valve 20 is energized in its closing direction by a compression spring 34 via the retainer 33 installed in the upper end, but in this case, the spring 34 is housed in the back pressure chamber partitioned in a nozzle holder body 35, and a valve opening pressure regulating shim 37 is installed interposingly between an upper end of the spring 34 and an upper surface of the back pressure chamber 36. And, the back pressure chamber 36 is interconnected to a fuel chamber 16 via a passage 38, and the opening 39 is installed in a spot slightly more downward than a fuel inlet 17. With this constitution, the fuel inlet 17 is made so as to be closed earlier than the opening 39.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an ultrasonic flowmeter of simple constitution which can reduce measuring time without degrading the accuracy of measurement by measuring the inverse number of the difference in the two oscillation frequencies generated by a sing around method directly by using a wave transmitter and receiver provided with both functions of transmission and reception of ultrasonic waves. CONSTITUTION:Ultrasonic waves are emitted from a wave transmitter and receiver 40 toward the fluid in a pipe 1. In the 1st oscillating loop system, the signal of the oscillation frequency Fa by a sing around method is obtained and is supplied to the phase detector 11a of the 1st PLL circuit. The voltage control oscillator 13a of the 1st PLL circuit oscillates and outputs the signal of the sing around frequency Fa and supplies the same to an in-phase detecting circuit 50. The 2nd oscillation loop system operates in exactly the same way as that of the 1st oscillating loop system. In the circuit 50, the inverse number DELTAT of the defference DELTAF(=Fa-Fb) of the two frequencies is determined. Further from the inverse number DELTAT, the flow rate Q of the fluid in the pipe 1 of that time is determined from the equationI.

    • PURPOSE:To provide smooth and positive operation and simplify constitution by providing a bypass parallel to a throttle valve in an intake path of an engine and arranging respective temperature responsive and pressure responsive type controlling valves parallel to the bypass to control intake air amount. CONSTITUTION:An intake path 1 is formed with a bypass 3 communicating to the upstream and downstream sides of a throttle valve 2. In this bypass 3 are provided in parallel a temperature responsive type controlling valve 4 closed by temperature rise of an engine and a pressure responsive type controlling valve 5 opened by relatively small negative intake pressure in the starting operation of the engine and closed by relatively large negative intake pressure in the complete combustion of the engine. Then, the controlling valve 4 is provided at the rear side of a valve body 4b opposed to a valve seat 4a with an operating rod 4d and a temperature responsive member 4e through a spring 4c. Also, the controlling valve 5 is provided between front and rear valve seats 5a, 5b with a valve body 5d urged rearward by a spring 5c and forward by the negative intake pressure.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a carburetor, in which a change of height in a liquid level is reduced due to an inclination of the liquid level of fuel in a float chamber at turning operation or tilting attitude of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:A float chamber 4 is constituted such that its divided pair of left and right chambers 4a are arranged to both outsides of an intermediate part 7 in a pair of intake passages 2, 3 and communicated to each other through a communication passage 8 in the bottom part, and the center 10 of a fuel liquid level 9 in the inside is always placed in the vicinity of a longitudinal axial line X-X connecting the center of the pair of intake passages 2, 3, then each fuel passage 5, 6 is arranged in the vicinity of the center 10, that is, in the vicinity of X-X. At turning operation or tilting attitude of an automobile mounted with this carburetor, through a liquid level in the chamber 4a is sloped laterally, the center 10 is always placed on the axial line X-X, in this way, each fuel passage 5, 6 arranged in the vicinity of said line has no large change of its liquid level, and a stable feed of fuel can be always obtained.
