    • PURPOSE:To simultaneously perform the superposition of both side end parts of a waterproof layer and the coating of the end edges of said layer without requiring the coating and formation of a synthetic resin material for coating the end edges, by applying the waterproof layer to the outer surface side of a paper base material so that the one side end part thereof is superposed to the other side end part thereof and bonding the superposed part under heating and pressure to melt a part of a synthetic resin layer. CONSTITUTION:A paper base material 1 is a fiber layer comprising kraft paper. A waterproof layer 2 is constituted so that an aluminum foil layer 4 is applied to the outer surface side of a paper layer 3 and a heat-fusible synthetic resin layer 5, for example, composed of a polyethylene resin is further applied to the outer surface of said foil layer 4 and a hot melt type adhesive layer 6, for example, composed of a vinyl acetate resin hot melt type adhesive or an acrylic acid hot molt type adhesive is applied to the inner surface of the paper layer 3. The waterproof layer 2 is applied to the outer surface side of the paper base material 1 so that one end side end part thereof is superposed to the other side end part thereof to form a superposed part 20. The superposed part is bonded under heating and pressure and a part of the synthetic resin layer is melted to be extruded toward the end edges thereof and the end edge of one side end part of the waterproof layer is coated with the molten synthetic resin.

    • PURPOSE:To ensure the alignment in a positional relationship between a printing pattern on a resin film and a can body blank material by a method wherein an identification mark on the resin film and the leading end of the can body blank material are detected, and by a specified timing, the can body blank material is pushed to press-bonding rollers. CONSTITUTION:By a first detecting means 59, an identification mark on a resin film P is detected, and at the same time, at a specified position of a transfer means 1, it is detected that the leading end of a can body blank material 1 has reached a specified location by a second detecting means 48. Then, according to the detections, a timing to push out the can body blank material 1, which is transferred to the transfer means 11, toward press-bonding rollers 25b by a push-out means 12 is appropriately controlled. By this method, the resin film P1 and can body blank material 1 are introduced to the press-bonding rollers 25b under a condition herein a positional relationship in the transfer direction between a printing pattern on the resin film P1 and the can body blank material 1 is aligned.

    • PURPOSE:To exactly and surely seam a can top to a can vessel by carrying as holding the can vessel before and behind in the transfer direction with a 1st can vessel transfer means. CONSTITUTION:The can vessel X is carried horizontally with the 1st can vessel transfer means 1. The can vessel X is delivered to a 2nd can vessel transfer means 2 which is so followed that its transfer direction is tangential and is carried. The can top Y is carried while being held so as to freely be detached with a can top holding means 4 which is equipped so as to freely turn, rise and fall on a can top transfer means 3 which is moved in synchronism with the 2nd can vessel transfer means 2. The can top holding means 4 is lowered, and the can top Y is capped on the can vessel X and is held. Both X and Y are turned and are pressed against a closing means 5, 6 and the can top Y is seamed to the can vessel X. Then the can vessel X is held before and behind in the transfer direction and is moved with the 1st can vessel transfer means 1. Thus the 2nd can vessel transfer means is miniaturized.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to efficiently form a tubular body by a method wherein a band-like body is bent along a mandrel and both the side edges of the band-like body are projected beyond a gap made between the upper edges of tubular body forming members so as to put them together in order to join them by press contact under heat and, after adhesive is applied onto one side of the joined side edges, the tubular body is made with a pressure welding device. CONSTITUTION:A band-like body (a) is continuously fed along a mandrel 1. When the forming members 6 and 7 of a forming guide 2 are brought into the closed position by means of an opening and closing means 8 under the state that the band-like body (a) is held by the members, then the band-like body (a) is formed into the shape along the mandrel 1 by being guided by the guide edges 13 of the forming members 6 and 7, and both side edges is inserted in a gap made by the upper edges 9 and 10 of the forming members 6 and 7 so that both the side edges are protruded beyond the gap and abutted against each other in order to be put together. Both the side edges which has been abutted against each other are passed through the gap between heaters 22, and bonded to each other through thermowelding film. Further, the resultant welded side edges, to one side of which adhesive is applied with an adhesive coating device 4, are folded with a pressure welding means 31 with the side which is coated with the adhesive as the inner surface, and then adhered onto the outer surface of a tubular body.
