    • The disclosed blend contains (A) 1 to 99 % by weight of at least one thermotropic liquid crystal polyester and/or polyesteramide and (B) 1 to 99 % by weight of at least one sulphoxide group-containing polymer, in relation to the total weight of SIGMA [(A) + (B)]. Linear and/or branched polymers with a mean molecular weight Mw in a range from 4,000 to 200,000 and composed of repeating units having the formula [-(F-S)c-(F-SO)d-] are used as component (B). In the formula, the F stand independently from each other for simple or para-, meta- or ortho-interconnected arylene systems with 6 to 18 C atoms, preferably phenylene, naphtylene or biphenylene, and the sum of c+d equals 1, provided that d be always >/= 0.70. Thermotropic liquid crystals polymers with a mean molecular weight Mw in a range from 10,000 to 200,000 g/mol and a transition temperature > 250 DEG C are used as component (A), as well as amorphous thermotropic liquid crystal polymers with a mean molecular weight Mw from 10 000 to 200 000 g/mol and a glass transition temperature > 160 DEG C.

    • A filter material is disclosed based on a polyarylene thio-ether with recurrent units of formula (I): -[(AR )n-X)]m-[(Ar )i-Y)]j-[(Ar )k-Z)]l-[(Ar )o-W)]p-, wherein Ar , Ar , Ar , Ar , W, X, Y and Z can be either identical or different, independently of each other; the indices n, m, i, j, k, l, o and p independently of one another are 0 or integers 1, 2, 3 or 4, their sum being at least 2; Ar , Ar , Ar and Ar are arylene systems with 6 to 18 C atoms; and W, X, Y and Z are bivalent link groups chosen from -SO2-, -S-, -SO-, -CO-, -O-, -CO2-, or alkylene or alkylidene groups with 1 to 6 C atoms.
