    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a construction in a flat type battery having a gasket sandwiched between a sealing can and an outer can, which makes it possible for the sealing can to be held in place by a molding tool when a gasket is molded in the sealing can, thereby improving the sealing performance by the gasket.SOLUTION: A flat type battery (1) comprises a cathode can (10) (outer can) and an anode can (20) (sealing can) and a gasket (30) which is integrally molded on a peripheral wall part (22) of the anode can (20). The gasket (30) has a gasket tip part (33) which functions as a seal between the anode can (20) and the cathode can (10) and a gasket outside part (32) which presses the gasket tip part (33) against a bottom part (11) of the cathode can (10) when the cathode can (10) is fitted to the anode can (20). The gasket outside part (32) has a projection (32a) provided therein at a position where an opening end of a peripheral wall part (12) of the cathode can (10) is engaged.
