摘要： PURPOSE:To reproduce pictures without requiring an adjustment time and an expense by coding each block of an original picture on a basis of its designation code and by decoding the block while referring to a color designation table determined previously. CONSTITUTION:Original picture 1 is picked up by image pickup device 2 to obtain electric signals of three primary colors R, G and B, and these electric signals are inputted to A/D converter 3 to obtain PCM signals. The output signal from converter 3 is compared with a boundary color signal, which is set by signal setting circuit 4 of a specific boundary color, by comparator 6, and the boundary line of the original picture pattern is detected. Then, a position where three or more boundary lines intersect one another is detected by comparator 7. Output signals of circuits 6 and 7 are added to the output of register circuit 10 by adder circuit 11 and are inputted to register circuit 12. The R-L part out of the transmitted code is decoded by run length decoder circuit 13, and the block designation part is converted to a color signal by a color table circuit 14, thus reproducing the picture through D/A converter circuit 15.
