摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the cutting of a band and to improve the yield of a product by performing a binding by making the binding force of the band on and after a 2nd piece larger than the case of a 1st piece, in case of winding plural bends by piling them up on a coil like strip steel. CONSTITUTION:In case of binding a coil like strip steel 1 by winding plural bands thereon a 1st band 7a is bound to the degrees that the tail end part 1a of the coil like strip steel 1 is attained to the state of its dropping slightly by a springback. A 2nd band 7b is then wound thereon with the binding force larger than that of the band 7a to cause a sag at the gap S part caused by the tail end part 1a on the 1st band 7a. In this case the cut thereof can be prevented due to the sag of the band 7a. Consequently the cut of bands 7b, 7c is eliminated as well and the generation of the flaw of a product can be prevented, so the product yield is improved.

The lid removing device 6 and the lidding device 6A can be replaced with a lid mount/remove device 13, and the lid conveyer 5 can be eliminated. The container comprises a tubular barrel 4b, the detachable lid 4a at an upper end thereof, and a base plate 4c which is detachable, fixed or rotatably pivoted to its lower end.

The diameter (d) of the drill holes and the total number (n) of these drill holes are regulated so that they satisfy inequalities I, II, where w0 is the maximum width of hot rolled steel plate, Q is the whole quantity of cooling water, (v) means equation III, H is the maximum height of passing position of hot rolled steel plate from the top of the nozzle plate, and (h) means the height from the hot rolled steel plate to the upper end of a sprayed water column and is not shorter than 0.1m. By this method, the occurrence of scattering of cooling water can be prevented, and also superior cooling effect can be provided.
