    • PURPOSE:To enlarge lateral rigidity of a bracket, by a method wherein a disk is provided on the upper end of a bracket whose cross section is in a hollow and triangular shape, a guide bearing shoe is made to support directly by the disk and the inner diameter of the disk is made larger than the outer diameters of a revolving part and a thrusting frame. CONSTITUTION:A disk 11a is provided on the upper end of a bracket 11 whose cross section is in a hollow and triangular shape, a guide bearing shoe 8a is made to support directly by the disk 11a, a thrust frame 4 is installed on the top of an internal periphery of the bracket 11, and a thrust bearing shoe 2 is made to support by the thrust frame 4. Then, the inner diameter D3 of the disk 11a is made larger than the outer diameter D1 of a turning part 1 which makes a slide with the thrust bearing shoe 2 and the outer diameter D2 of a thrust frame 4. With this constitution, a hindrance is not given to assembling of a revolving part 1 of the thrust bearing shoe 2 and the thrust frame 4 by the disk 11a and a lateral rigidity of the bracket 11 becomes large through the large disk 11a.

    • PURPOSE:To make small the thickness of a shaft's skirt part and a runner in a lubricating and cooling device of a bearing construction by such a mechanism that lubrication oil in circulation is jetted out of a hole provided in the shaft by the action of centrifugal force produced by revolution. CONSTITUTION:In a thrust force bearing device with such a construction that lubrication oil 15 is jetted out a hole provided radially at the skirt part of the shaft 1 with the aid of the centrifugal force produced by the revolution of shaft 1 and cooled by a cooler 11 through a casing 7a so that it cools the slide surface of the bearing shoe 3, the abovementioned radial hole shall be situated at as much lower part as possible of the skirt of shaft 1 as well as a casing 7b to surround this hole shall be so designed that it encloses the shaft 1 at the upper side where a seal ring 8b is mounted and the runner 2 at the lower side where a seal ring 9b is mounted. By this construction, the required performance can be obtained effectively.

    • PURPOSE: To obtain an oil gage capable of indicating a correct oil level independently of the time of rest or rotation by connecting the oil reservoir, which is connected to the bearing oil box and is not influenced by the dynamic pressure of oil flow of the lower part of the box, with the oil gage.
      CONSTITUTION: The runner 2 is fixed to the lower end of the rotary shaft 1, the bearing shoe 3 supported by the thrust bearing 4 is in contact with the runner, and these are located in the bearing box 5 with lubricating oil 6. Also the said bearing 4 is supported by the thrust bracket with the key 9 through the frame 7, the oil reservoir 10 is provided to the inside of the bracket 8. One end of the piping 14 which communicates to the oil gage 13 is opened in the oil reservoir. By this, the oil gage 13 can indicate a correct oil level without an affection of the dynamic pressure of oil flow caused by the rotation.

    • PURPOSE:To drain without removing a drain pipe into a water channel by providing a partition plate connected with both ends of a stator at the bottom of the stator at a level slightly higher than the lowermost portion of a groove inside a double packing groove formed at both ends of the stator. CONSTITUTION:A partition plate 10 connected with chambers partitioned therein at the bottom of a stator 2 is provided at a position slightly higher than a packing groove 5a inside the end of the stator 2. The plate 10 is inclined so that the side of a water wheel casing 1 is lower and a cone side 3 is higher. Holes 10a, 10b are provided at the chambers partitioned in the stator. A drain hole 11 is provided at the end of the stator in the height of the same level as the lower side of the plate 10, i.e., the upper surface of the plate 10 of the casing 1 side, a drain tube 12 provided in the casing 1 is connected with the hole to drain the drain tube through a passage 1a out of the casing 1.
