    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform refrigerant equalization and oil equalization among several outdoor units, by constituting a divider of a main pipe inserted to be vertical with a hearer part and a plurality of branch pipes inserted into a header part on opposite side from the main pipe, and besides, providing neither the main pipe nor the branch pipe with a throttle. SOLUTION: A divider 5 is composed of a cylindrical header part 7 whose tubular axis is roughtly parallel to the floor face, a main pipe 8 which is inserted into the center of the header part 7 so that it may be vertical to the header part 7, and four pieces of branch pipes 9 which are symmetrical to the tubular axis of the main pipe 8 and are inserted into the header part 7 on opposite side from the main pipe 8. Moreover, the main pipe 8 is inserted to have enough opening area, with its tip 8 in rough contact with the tubular wall of the header part 7 on the side of the branch pipe 9. Furthermore, the main pipe 8 is connected to a gas pipe or a liquid pipe, and the branch pipe 9 is connected to the refrigerant pipe from each outdoor unit, and neither the main pipe 8 nor the branch pipe 9 is provided with a throttle.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent liquid seal in an oil equalizing pipe which transfers a compressor lubricating oil between outdoor units in a multi-type air-conditioning system. SOLUTION: An air-conditioning system which is constructed of a plurality of outdoor units A and B each equipped with compressors 1, an oil separator 3, a four-way valve 4, an outdoor heat exchanger 2, a thermal expansion valve 5, etc., a plurality of indoor units A and B each equipped with an expansion valve 10, an indoor heat exchanger 8, etc., a common liquid pipe 19 and a common gas pipe 20 connecting an outdoor unit group and an indoor unit group and an oil equalizing pipe 18 connecting the oil separators 3 of the outdoor units through the intermediary of valves and wherein a control to transfer oil through the oil equalizing pipe 18 is conducted. The valve of the oil separator 3 of the outdoor unit A is made a control valve 15 which opens and closes forcedly for a flow in the forward direction from A to B and opens and closes according to a difference between the pressure inside the oil equalizing pipe 18 and that inside the oil separator 3 on the A side for a flow in the reverse direction, while the valve of the oil separator 3 of the outdoor unit B is made an on-off valve 21 which opens and closes forcedly.
