    • PURPOSE:To prevent the deviation of printing dot position, unevenness of printing concentration, and blankness of printing by normally operating a printing hammer by a method in which voltage to be applied to a coil is controlled in such a way as to interrupt the increase in suction force resulting from excessive magnetic flux. CONSTITUTION:The number of magnetically driven parts 6 is detected as the reference voltage E proportional to it and then converted into reference voltage F by a function circuit 14, and drive voltage G to be applied to a coil 11 is varied in proportion to the reference voltage F. The function circuit 14 is so designed that the reference voltage F becomes an increasing function of the reference voltage E. Thus, as the number of the magnetically driven parts 6 increases, the drive voltage G is increased and the demagnetization amount Q is reduced. The increasing function is so set that the demagnetization amount Q is always kept at a proper value, and therefore, even when the number of the magnetically driven parts 6 is varied by printing patterns, suction force to be applied to the printing hammer 4 is not changed and printing failure does not occur because the demagnetization amount Q is always kept at a proper value.

    • PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a printer, by providing the means changing the voltage fed to the coil end of a print hammer, changing the current value flowing to the hammer coil corresponding to the applied voltage and reducing the noise when the hammer collides with the buffer material. CONSTITUTION:A print hammer coil 1 is connected between the power supply E and ground via transistors TR2, 3 and a current detection resistance 4, and the voltage between the emitter and the collector of TR2 is changed by adjusting a variable resistance 5 so that the applied voltage of the coil 1 can be changed. Further, the collector of a control TR6 which is normally conductive and turned off for a given time when a print instruction is input from the hammer controller, and the output of an operational amplifier comparing the output of a variable resistance 8 and the resistance 4, are connected to the base of TR3. Further, the current value flowing to the coil 1 is changed in response to the applied voltage to reduce the noise when the hammer collides with the buffer material, and the support mechanism of the buffer member can be made unnecessary to simplify the constitution of the printer.

    • PURPOSE:To make possible smaller size of the equipment preventing the deviation in the printing position by prohibiting the drive of the printing magnet prone to being affected by leakage flux of the adjacent printing magnet until the effect is reduced to a negligible level. CONSTITUTION:When the position of the printing hammer corresponding to the adjacent printing magnet is set at N-2 figure, N figure and N+2 figure, the magnetic interference reaches its maximum, where the printing magnet corresponding to the N figure is excited to drive the printing hammer while the printing magnets corresponding to the N-2 figure and the N+2 figure are both excited. Therefore, the drive of the printing magnet corresponding to the N bigure is prohibited during the period. To achieve this, a flag pit is added to the fubber memory where the letter code for each figure is memorized to indicate whether the printing magnets corresponding to respective figures are excited or not. The contents of the flag pits corresponding to the N-2 figure and N+2 figure is checked before the driving of the printing magnet. If both the magnets are being excited, the driving of the printing magnet corresponding to the N fugure is prohibited.

In the meantime, where particular marks, for example, a start mark representing the head of a type group, or a belt mark showing a type of a type belt, are provided between the type marks 3, the type marks in front and in rear of the particular mark 4 can be positioned such that the type marks are shifted in the direction to part them from the particular 4. For example, the type mark 3 positioned forward in a moving direction of the particular mark 4 is shifted more forward in the moving direction by a distance DELTAl than a normal position. As a result, the interference between the type mark and particular makr is reduced. A shifting distance shall be determined on the basis of factors, such as a moving speed of the type belt 1, a pitch between the types, a distance between the type mark 3 and the particular mark 4 and the like.
