    • PURPOSE:To measure the concentration of O2 and H2O2 dissolved in a liquid at the same time, by providing each pair of anodes and cathodes in a diaphragm type oxygen electrode and applying different applying voltage between each electrode. CONSTITUTION:O2 and H2O in a sample water enter into an electrolytic solution 13 passing through a diffusion film 2 provided on a sensor main body 1 which constitutes an oxygen meter. Cathodes 3, 4 and anodes 5, 6 are provided in the electrolytic solution 13. A battery 9 and an ammeter 18 are connected between the anode 5 and the cathode 3 and electric potential for reducing only H2O2 in the sample water is applied and then, an electric current A1 at this time is measured. Further, a battery 12 and an ammeter 11 are connected between the anode 6 and the cathode 4 and the electric potential for reducing O2 and H2O2 is applied and then, an electric current A2 at this time is measured. O2 is measured separately from H2O2 in a short time because the concentration of H2O2 in the sample water corresponds to the current A1 and that of O2 corresponds to the current A2-A1.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent interfering components from diffusing into the surface of a porous metal, by installing an electrode for removing the interfering components on the backside of the porous metal cathode of a dissolved oxygen meter. CONSTITUTION:An electrolytic soln. 3 is sealed in, and a porous metal cathode 1 is installed on the backside of an oxygen permeable membrane 6 to form the present dissolved oxygen meter. An electrically conductive metal, such as Au, Ag, or Pt, provided with through-holes only through which the electrolytic soln. is connected between the inside and outside is arranged near the cathode 1 to form the electrode 2 for removing interfering components. This electrodes 2 and an anode 4 are connected with a wire, and the potential difference between both electrodes 2, 4 is kept equal to that of the electrode 1 and an anode 5. Dissolved oxygen and the interfering components, such as ions in the electrolytic soln. 3 are reduced when diffusing and passing through the through-holes of the electrode 2. Hence, it can be prevented to cause interfering electric current.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an apparatus capable of performing a direct fractional measurement of the concentration of H2 dissolved in water of a high-temperature reactor such as a light water reactor, a heavy water reactor without carrying out pressure reduction, cooling, etc., by immersing bellows communicating with an inner electrolyte and the whole body of a hydrogen electrode provided with a hydrogen permeating membrane on the surface, in sample water and bringing the back of the bellows into contact with the sample water. CONSTITUTION:The main body of a sensor is provided with a bellows 20 communicating with an electrolyte 18 and thermal expansion of the electrolyte is absorbed. Sample water is introduced into a sensor storing vessel from a sample introducing inlet 1 and is flowed out from a sample water exit 21. The balance of pressure between the sample water and the electrolyte is kept always because the sample water is filled in the sensor storing vessel and the whole main body of the sensor is immersed in the sample water and then, the main body of the sensor and a hydrogen permeating membrane are not broken down. An aqueous solution mixed with H2SO4 and NiSO4 is used for the electrolyte. Gaseous hydrogen introduced into the electrolyte is oxidized to a hydrogen ion by the reaction H2 zH +21 at an anode 12 and at this time, the reaction Ni +21 Niproceeds at a cathode. This output electric current between the anode and the cathode is measured by an ammeter A8 and the concentration of H2 dissolved in the sample water is determined quantitatively from this electric current value.
