SOLUTION: The reproduced water of fixed capacity recycled in a waste processing system 21 is moved to the tank 26. The reproduced water in the tank 26 is made by a transport pump 24 to flow to the recirculation line 28 through a reproduced water collection line 22, have its organic substances removed by the organic substance removing device 23 equipped with an ultraviolet- ray irradiation device and an ion exchange device on its downstream side, and return to the tank 26. Here, a line 29 which measures the organic impurity concentration in the tank 26 monitors the water and when the concentration becomes less than a prescribed value, a control valve 25 is opened to supply the water to a condensate storage tank 10. Consequently, the organic substance concentration of the water held in the condensate storage tank 10 can be held low.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an increase in the accumulated quantity of a suspension to an element in the case a filter is backwashed by feeding water pressurized by compressed air to the element from the reverse direction to that on filter operation to perform backwashing and keeping the pressure of the compressed air at pressure near to withstanding pressure of the element at that time. SOLUTION: In the case backwashing is performed when the surface of filter cloth is gradually covered with a separated suspension to clog it and filter pressure drop of an element 13 is increased, high pressure air fed from a backwashing air source 19 through an air valve 20 and a backwashing pipeline 21 is led into a lower vessel 15 to forcibly feed filtrate held in the lower vessel 15 into the element 13. In this way, the filtrate is led into the element 13 from below an arbor to eliminate and remove the suspension on the outer surface of the filter cloth from the surface of the filter cloth. At this time, the pressure of the air fed from the backwashing air source 19 is set at a value as high as possible not exceeding 0.35 MPa in consideration of withstanding pressure of the element 13 being 0.35 MPa.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discharge backwash water uniformly and improve the backwash efficiency by feeding water in a body vessel with a pleated element and increase the resistance on the outer surface of a pleated type filter membrane at the time of backwashing. SOLUTION: At the time of backwashing, a valve 6 is opened and the inside of a cover vessel 4 is pressurized by compressed air in an air tank 7. After pressurizing, when a drain valve 11 is opened quickly, the air in the cover vessel 4 is expanded, following which backwash water in the cover vessel 4 is backwashed from the inner surface to the outer surface of a plated type membrane 12 to backwash elements 12. At the time of repeating the operation, the inside of the cover vessel 4 and the body vessel 3 are in the state of being filled sufficiently with reinforcing water supply from a reinforcing water line 8 and a valve 9, and then the operation of pressurizing by the compressed air in the air tank 7 and opening the drain valve 11 is repeated to backwash the pleated type elements 12. The water level in a filter is adjusted by the arrangement and efficient backwashing is carried out to uniformize the backwash intervals and extend the period of use.

An end member 31 for hanging a filter container from a partition plate is fixed to the upper end of the outer cylinder 46 and a cap 47 is fixed to the lower end of the outer cylinder 46. Spacers 45 preventing the direct contact of the end members 36 are provided between the cap 47 and the modules 42 and between the modules 42, and the space parts of the spacers 45 are used as water gathering chambers. As a result, since the bonded body of the modules is equipped with the outer cylinder 46, the fixing metal jig connecting the modules becomes unnecessary and, since the outer cylinder 46 also plays the role of the protection of the hollow yarn membranes 40, handling properties and transport properties are improved.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage to yarn on backwashing of hollow yarn membranes by low pressure air to improve the removal effect of suspended matter caught on the outer surface of the hollow yarn membranes. SOLUTION: In an outer cylinder 51 of a hollow yarn membrane module 42, a lot of holes (backwashing air holes) 47 are made for feeding original liquid and for discharging low pressure air fed on low pressure backwashing of the hollow yarn membrane module 42 to outside the module. The center positions of the holes 47 are 70 mm or more from the lower end face of an adhesive by which the upper end part of the hollow yarn membrane bundle is adhered and fixed to the outer cylinder 51, and in the outer cylinder 51 between the backwashing holes 47 nearest to the lower end face of the adhesive and the lower end face of the adhesive, air vent holes 48 of 0.5-3 mm diameter are made. And adhesive injection holes made in the upper part of the outer cylinder 51 in order to inject the adhesive when hollow yarn membranes 40 are bundled and adhered and fixed to the outer cylinder 51 are used as the air vent holes 48 by closing them with plugs in which holed of 0.5-3 mm diameter are made.
