摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device in which the application of a d.c. voltage to a liquid crystal element is prevented when external clocks being inputted from the external are stopped. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is provided with a liquid crystal display element having multiple pixels, a driving means which drives the pixels of the element, a display controller which transmits display data and display control signals to the driving means, a power supply circuit which supplies a power supply voltage to the driving means and a switching means which is disposed between the power supply circuit and the driving means. The controller has a counter which counts the number of clocks of an external clock inputted from the external and a discrimination means which transmits a control signal to turn off the switching means when the counted value of the counter becomes zero.

SOLUTION: This device is provided with sampling clocks to be supplied to an A/D conversion circuit 1 converting the analog into the digital signal by sampling it by the sampling clocks, a phase detecting circuit 6 detecting the phase difference between one-dot pixel cycles of the analog signal and a sampling position correcting circuit (constituted of capacitors 10A, 10B, variable capacitance diodes 11A, 11B and terminating resistances 12A 12B) changing rising edge inclinations of the sampling clocks in accordance with the phase difference detected in the circuit 6 and the device samples the analog signal at the optimum position.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to convert always an analog video signal into a digital video signal with optimum sampling timing by varying a delay time per one step of a delay control means delaying a clock signal generated by a PLL circuit in accordance with a period of a horizontal synchronizing signal. SOLUTION: A variable delay circuit 12 is charged and discharged in accordance with inversion of a clock signal generated by a PLL circuit 10, and has a capacitor (Cd) deciding a delay time of a clock signal generated by the PLL circuit 10. A microcomputer 11 outputs the maximum delay time control signal (MDT) of 8 bits to a digital control variable resistor circuit 13 in accordance with a period of a horizontal synchronizing signal (Hsync) sent from the outside, a resistance value (R1) of the digital control variable resistor circuit 13 is varied, magnitude of a charging/discharging current of Cd is varied, and the maximum delay time of the variable delay circuit 11 is decided by magnitude of this charging/discharging current. Thereby, a delay time per one step is varied in accordance with a period of a horizontal synchronizing signal.

SOLUTION: The display data from a PC are converted into a digital signal by an A/D converter 1 to be inputted to a liquid crystal module (LCD module) 4 constituting a display device, that is, a liquid crystal monitor set via an adjustment circuit 2. Furthermore, at the same time, the output of the A/D converter 1 is inputted to a display pattern detection circuit 3. The display pattern detection circuit 3 detects an adjustment picture recognition pattern from the inputted display data, and recognizes the operation contents on the PC side, and controls the adjustment circuit 2 based on the recognition result to adjusts the image to be displayed on the LCD module 4.
