    • PURPOSE:To enhance heat transfer performance and to save material for heat transfer pipe, in a heat exchanger in an air conditioner and the like, by forming many grooves having an approximately semicircular cross section in the outer surface of the heat transfer pipe wherein fluid accompanying phase change flows. CONSTITUTION:Many semicircular grooves 3, which have a depth of (h), an arc angle of 2Xtheta, and a radium ro, are formed in the inner surface of the heat transfer pipe. When vapor is condensed on the heat transfer surface having the minute grooves, the condensed liquid flows downward along the grooves 3. The faster the flow speed, the thinner the liquid film. Thus the heat transfer performance is improved. Gravity of the liquid, frictional force with respect to the wall, and surface tension act on the speed. A size factor related to the driving force is a ratio between an equivalent hydraulic radius, i.e. a cross sectional area of a flow, and a wetted perimeter. When this ratio is large, the flow speed becomes fast, and the heat transfer performance is improved. In order to make the equivalent radius large, the radius ro of a circle should be made large. However, when the radius is made large, the number of the grooves is decreased and the overall performance is decreased. Therefore the semicircular grooves with the radius of ro which is close to the depth (h) of the groove are provided.

CONSTITUTION:An insulating plate 7 is secured onto a heat sink 6 with insulating collars 11 and screws 12, a semiconductor element 8 is mounted on the plate 7, and a heat pipe 1 in which porous substance 3 immersed with water, Freon or alcohol therein and made of metal gauze or glass wool is engaged through the heat sink 6. Then, fins 5 held by a plurality of side plates 4 are engaged via central holes opened at the plates 4 with the peripheral surface of the pipe 1 at the part projected from the heat sink 6, and one lower ends of the plates 4 are secured via screws 9, 9' to a housing wall 10. Thereafter, side walls 13 are bonded to both ends of the side plates, a heat sink device is formed in a chimney shape with the plates 4 and the walls 13, and air guide holes 14 are opened at the side walls 13 to enhance the chimney effect.

    • PURPOSE:To improve cooling characteristics by constituting a heat pipe for radiation in which a hollow insulated bobbin of a resistor main body serves as an evaporator. CONSTITUTION:A hollow insulated bobbin 16, with one end thereof closed, is used as an evaporator 14 of a heat pipe, and a resistor 2 consisting of resistance wires or a carbon film is provided over the external wall of the insulated bobbin 16. The other end of the insulated bobbin 16 is subjected to a metallizing treatment, and is then hard soldered to a heat pipe main body vessel 12 via a member 15 for alleviating difference in thermal expansion coefficient, such as Kovar or the like. After this assembly has been housed in a protective metal container 9, the space of the container is filled with an insulating compound 10. Lead wires 4 are led to the outside via insulators 11. The other end of the heat pipe main body vessel 12 is filled with an operation liquid and then sealed. Air-cooling radiation fins 13 are fitted around the exterior surface of the evaporator 14 of the heat pipe main body vessel 12. Thereby, it is possible to attain an increased allowable load capacity or small products.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance the grade of concentration and to reduce the vibration and noise of an electric rotary machine when a hole is to be provided in a rotating shaft to insert a heat pipe thereinto and to be fixed by a method wherein the blockading end part of the hole is formed to have a taper type, and the spherical tip part of the heat pipe is adhered with pressure thereto. CONSTITUTION:When a long hole 13 is to be provided inside of a rotor shaft 1 to insert the heat pipe 7 therein to be fixed, the conical taper part 13c is formed at the end part on the blockade side of the long hole 13. Moreover the tip parts 7A2, 7A3 of the heat pipe 7 are formed to have the spherical face type, and the end 7A3 on one side thereof is adhered with pressure to the taper part 13c of the long hole. A cement 14 is poured into the gap between the heat pipe 7 and the long hole 13 to be fixed. Accordingly because the grade of concentration between the long hole 13 and the heat pipe 7 can be enhanced, unbalance can be eliminated, and vibration and noise can be reduced sharply.

    • PURPOSE:To make hard to dry-out by a structure wherein an inner tube with grooves on its outer surface is inserted into a closed vessel so as to bring the grooves provided on the inner surface of the closed vessel into contact with said groovee on the outer surface of the inner tube in order to eliminate the interference between the flow of condensed fluid and the flow of vapor in the heat transfer device. CONSTITUTION:In the heat transfer device, in which evaporable liquid sealed in the closed vessel 1 with the grooves 2 on its inner surface transports heat from its one end to its other end utilizing evaporation-condensation phenomena, the inner tube 3 with the grooves 4 on its outer surface is inserted into the vessel 1 so as to bring the grooves 2 provided on the inner surface of the vessel 1 into contact with the grooves 4 on the outer surface of the inner tube 3. For example, in case that the grooves 2 are straight line grooves parallel to the longitudinal direction of the device, the grooves 4 are formed spirally and, on the contrary, in case that the grooves 2 are spiral, the grooves 4 are formed in the form of straight line or of spiral with its twisting direction opposite to the twisting direction of the grooves 2. As a result, the interference between the flow of the condensed fluid and the flow of the vapor in the heat transfer device is eliminated, resulting in making hard to dry-out and as well as increasing the transportation amount of the condensed liquid from the condensing part to the evaporating part of the heat transfer device.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a sheet of a crosslinked fluororesin by which the high-quality sheet of a crosslinked fluororesin of an optional bulk density can be efficiently manufactured. SOLUTION: Fine powder of a non-crosslinked fluororesin is continuously sent onto a conveyor for transferring the fine powder of a non-crosslinked fluororesin while the fine powder of a non-crosslinked fluororesin is continuously fed into the hopper of a device for manufacturing a sheet of a crosslinked fluororesin, and thus a sheet-like form of the fine powder of the non-crosslinked fluororesin is continuously manufactured on the conveyor. Next, the sheet-like form of the fine powder of the non-crosslinked fluororesin is heated by making the sheet-like form pass through a heating furnace which heats the sheet-like form under a non-oxygen atmosphere through the movement of the conveyor. Further, the sheet-like form is crosslinked by making it pass through a crosslinking furnace which irradiates the sheet-like form of the fine powder of the non-crosslinked fluororesin with ionizing radiations under a non-oxygen atmosphere through the movement of the conveyor. Then, by making the sheet-like form of the fine powder of the crosslinked fluororesin pass through a nip between rolling rolls, the sheet-like form is rolled into a sheet of a crosslinked fluororesin of a predetermined thickness.
