    • PURPOSE:To obtain an acceleration sensor, which can be manufactured in mass production at a low cost for each kind of products. CONSTITUTION:An electret-capacitor type acceleration sensor 1 comprises a vibrating film 3, which is formed of a macromolecular film that is made to be an electret, and a planer electrode plate facing the vibrating plate 3 at a constant distance through air having the specific inductive capacity. Or the sensor comprises the structure, wherein the vibrating film 3 is the ordinary macromolecular film, which is not the electret, and the macromolecular film that is made to be the electret is stuck to the surface of a facing electrode plate 5 on the side of the vibration film 3. When acceleration is applied on the surface of the vibrating film 3 in the orthogonal direction, the vibrating film 3 is displaced by the inertia force of own weight of the film 3, and the distance (d) from the electrode plate 5 is changed. Thus, the capacitance between the vibrating film 3 and the electrode 5 is changed. The voltage generated between the film and the electrode plate in this way is converted. Thus, the acceleration is detected.

    • PURPOSE:To detect a divergence phenomenon in which secondary sounds become louder than the noise being controlled because a muffler control is not performed normally in an active muffler device which actively cancels noises by secondary sounds. CONSTITUTION:A phase amplitude controlling circuit 9 in a microprocessor 2 controls phases and amplitudes of secondary sounds through the sound pressure detected by a microphone 4 and the fundamental vibration frequency of an engine 1, outputs the secondary sounds to a compartment from a speaker 5 so as to muffle the noise with the secondary sounds. When the control system becomes unstable due to the secular degradation of a car, the secondary sounds become louder than the noise in the compartment, the noises increase and the output of the secondary sounds may require to be stopped. Thus, a divergence predicting circuit 2 constantly monitors the output power of a digital filter which generates the secondary sounds and when the output power exceeds a threshold value integrated over a prescribed time, it is discriminated to be a divergence occurs and stops the output of the secondary sounds.

    • A system for detecting a physical amount of behavior of a vehicle includes, acceleration sensors arranged on at least two longitudinal axes of the vehicle, the vertical axis Of the vehicle and the lateral axis of the vehicle, a plurality of the acceleration sensors being disposed on each of the axes. A unit is provided for establishing a conversion equation for determining acceleration values of linear motion at an arbitrary point of the vehicle in the direction of each axis of an arbitrary coordinate system and acceleration values of rotational motion with respect to the each axis of the coordinate system while simultaneously using acceleration values detected by the acceleration sensors disposed on at least two of the vehicular longitudinal axes, the vertical axis and the lateral axis. There is also provided a unit for calculating the conversion equation to obtain the acceleration values of linear motion at an arbitrary point of the vehicle in the direction of each axis of the arbitrary coordinate system and acceleration values of rotational motion with respect to each axis of the coordinate system, a unit for establishing a motion equation expressing a plurality of freedom motions, and a unit for calculating the motion equation with the acceleration values of linear motion at an arbitrary point of the vehicle in the direction of each axis of the arbitrary axis of the arbitrary coordinate system and acceleration values of rotational motion with respect to the each axis of the coordinate system to obtain the physical amount associated with the behavior of the vehicle.
