    • PURPOSE:To provide a small-sized and light electromagnetic clutch and to improve magnetic efficiency by connecting an inside support member coupled to a driven rotary shaft to an outside support member having a polar moving piece fixed at a surface thereof confronting with an input rotor through a buffer element to form an output rotor. CONSTITUTION:Outside and inside support members 4, 5 having an outward projecting portion 5b and an inward projecting portion 4c are manufactured in one body using an aluminium alloy by casting or forging. Rubber buffer elements 8a', 8a'' are vulcanized and joined between the inward and outward projecting portions 4c, 5b. Subsequently, a coupling portion connecting both support members 4, 5 is removed and separated to form a buffer element assembly, and separately inside and outside polar moving pieces 3, 2 are formed by blanking a soft steel plate to be fitted to a guide portion of the outside support member 4. Further, a hub 6 connecting a driven shaft 51 is fitted to the inside of the buffer element assembly to form a rotor 1. Accordingly, magnetic efficiency is excellent, and a small-sized and light electromagnetic clutch can be provided to improve productivity.

    • PURPOSE:To aim at improvement of the accuracy of detecting the rotational frequency of a compressor through increasing the detection voltage by reducing a very small clearance between the inner periphery surface of a rotating disc and the outer periphery surface of a hub so as to increase the by-pass magnetic flux in an auxiliary closed magnetic circuit. CONSTITUTION:When a compressor 1 is in rotary action, an exciting coil 5b is electrified, and a main closed magnetic circuit A is generated to cause an output disc 8c to be attracted to an input rotor 7. In addition, some of the magnetic flux in the exciting coil 5b bypass the main closed magnetic circuit A so as to form an auxiliary closed magnetic circuit B. In this condition, when a magnetic piece 12b in a magnetic flux changing means 12 passes through the neighborhood of the magnetic pole 11, a clearance between the magnetic pole 11 and the magnetic flux changing means 12 is reduced to cause the by-pass magnetic flux to be increased. Since the pulsative change in a flux output in the auxiliary closed magnetic circuit B is detected by a magnetic detecting coil 14, if the by-pass magnetic flux is increased, the induced pulse voltage generated in the magnetic detecting coil 14 is also increased.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the imperfect insulation and improve the reliability, by providing radial projections at an outer circumference of a side wall of a bobbin, winding an excitation coil around the bobbin and then bending the projections to cover an outer periphery of the excitation coil and receive the coil assembly into a main yoke member. CONSTITUTION:A side wall 15b of a nylon bobbin 15 on the side of a bottom portion 13c of a main yoke member 13 is formed at its outer periphery with a plurality of radial projections 15j. The projections 15j have an outer diameter greater than an inner diameter of an end of an outer flange 13a. An excitation coil 11 is wound around the bobbin 15 to form an excitation coil assembly 12. In inserting the excitation coil assembly 12 into the main yoke member 13, the projections 15j abut against the end of the outer flange 13a of the main yoke member 13, and they are so bent as to cover the outer periphery of the excitation coil 11. Accordingly, the outer flange 13a is reliably separated from the excitation coil 11 by the projections 15j, thereby preventing the imperfect insulation and improving the reliability.

    • PURPOSE:To control the deformation excepting the groove part of the blank including the deformation in axial direction of the blank at the roll forming time, to increase the working efficiency, also to extend the service life of forming roller extensively by forming in advance a deep groove at each groove position of the thick blank. CONSTITUTION:The deep grooves 2a-2e having the adequate cross section shape and depth found from the calculation of the deformed quantity are worked in advance on the outer peripheral face of a blank 1a. The V grooves 3a-3e of the waveform sectional shape of a product 1b are roll-formed by turning the blank 1a on which said deep grooves are worked and by pressing the freely turnable forming roller 4 having the groove teeth 5a-5e of waveform sectional shape. In this roll forming stage there is a slight space A between the groove teeth 5a-5e and groove bottom 3A-3E and the deformation of the groove bottom 3A-3E is reduced to the minute one caused indirectly by the deformation of the V grooves 3a-3e. this slight deformation in the axial direction of the groove bottoms 3A-3E is absorbed by the space A and not accumulated between the adjacent groove bottoms 3A-3E. The load to flare the groove teeth 5a-5e in axial direction which has been shortening the service life of the forming roller 4 with the conventional method is therefore prevented.

    • PURPOSE:In an electromagnetic clutch provided with a temperature fuse as a protective means, to facilitate the fitting of the temperature fuse to the clutch by a method wherein the temperature fuse is connected to a coil led out from notches provided in an exciting coil winding bobbin. CONSTITUTION:The electromagnetic clutch transmits a torque to a rotary shaft 8 in such a manner that an attractive force is generated between a friction plate 204 of a rotor 2 and an amature 11 by a closed magnetic path S formed by feeding an electric current through an exciting coil 14. In this type of electromagnetic clutch, there is provided a notch at a portion of the outer periphery of one side of the bobbin 31 around which the exciting coil is wound so that a winding end 42 of the coil is taken out from the notch. Further, another notch 33 is provided on one side surface of the bobbin 31 at a position opposite the above mentioned notch and the temperature fuse is connected to a flexed portion 44 of the coil taken out from the notch 33 through terminals 44a and 44b.

    • PURPOSE:To actualize secureness of sealability and prevention of liquid-seal compression simultaneously by making a substantial space in a rotor rotational direction so as to become larger even if it is actually smaller by means of shifting each notch groove formed on cylinder circumferential surfaces at both sides of a tangent seal part in the cylinder axial direction. CONSTITUTION:In front and in the rear of a tangent seal part or a proximate part between a cylinder 5 and a rotor 1, notches 5a, 5b are formed on the inner circumference of a cylinder 5, and these notches are formed in a position shifted in the cylinder axial direction with each other. With this formation, length of the tangent seal part between the rotor shaft 1 and the cylinder 5 is reduced, and such a possibility that sealability might be deceased is kept back by having a distance in the axial direction. In addition, since they are connected to an adjacent operating chamber astride each tip part of a vane 8 and a tip seal 9 by both notches 5a, 5b, liquid-seal compression is thus prevented from occurring.
