CONSTITUTION:An automatic ticket selling machine (terminal) 1 consists of a display 2, a touch panel 3, a ticket issuing unit 4 which prints and issues a ticket (the reserved seat tickets, the passenger tickets, etc.), a paper money counting machine 5, a coin counting machine 6, a communication adaptor 7 which performs such processings including the inquiry for vacant seats, the reservation of seats, the inquiry for fares, etc., and a control part 8 which controls these component units. Then the machine 1 carries out the transfer of information to a host computer 9. The time points when the reserved seats secured at the terminal 1 are deducted are divided into plural time steps that can be optionally set before the departure time of a train. At the same time, the prescribed number of seats that can be optionally set in each time step are left vacant and the seats exceeding the prescribed number are automatically deducted.
