    • PURPOSE:To activate an adsorbent and improve the adsorption performance by connecting a conduit means guiding the hot air around an exhaust pipe to the air inlet of a canister in a control device having the canister absorbing the adsorbed evaporation fuel into an engine. CONSTITUTION:An adsorbent 2 is filled in the canister main body 1 of a canister 3, the top section of the canister main body 1 is connected to a fuel tank 5 via a fuel pipe 4 and to an intake tube 8 via an intake pipe 6 respectively. An air inlet 11 is provided at the bottom section of the canister main body 1. In this case, a guide pipe 13 with a gas escape hole 12 is connected around the air inlet 11, a flexible hot air purge hose 15 with one end 15A opened on the periphery of an exhaust pipe 14 is connected to the guide pipe 13. When the evaporation fuel adsorbed to the canister 3 is absorbed to an engine 7, the hot air around the exhaust pipe 14 is guided into the canister 3 to activate the adsorbent 2, and the working capacity of the canister 3 is improved.

    • PURPOSE:To activate adsorbent for reducing evaporated fuel remaining in a canister when the evaporated fuel adsorbed to the canister is disconnected, by supplying hot air introduced from an air cleaner into the canister. CONSTITUTION:After vaporized fuel from a fuel tank 5 is adsorbed to adsorbent 2 in a canister 1, it is disconnected from the adsorbent to an intake path at the downstream side of an air cleaner 4 through a diaphragm 7. Then, the canister 1 is provided on the atmospheric side with valve opening valves 10, 11 for adsorption and disconnection respectively. When evaporated fuel is adsorbed to the canister 1, the valve opening valve 10 for adsorption is opened while the valve opening valve 11 for disconnection is opened when the evaporated fuel is disconnected. Thus, hot air from the air cleaner 4 is supplied into the canister 1 to activate the adsorbent 2 so that the evaporated fuel remaining in the canister 1 can be reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent muddy water and the like from invading a canister by attaching a water screening wall or a water screening tube to the atomosphere port part of an atomosphere induction chamber, in the case of said chamber provided on the canister together with an adsorbent chamber and the like for fuel evaporation gas. CONSTITUTION:Fuel evaporation gas generated from a fuel tank 9 is adsorbed in an adsorbent chamber 3 formed between perforated plates 5 and filters 4 on both sides inside a canister case 1 and filled with adsorbent 2 through a fuel evaporation gas inflow port 12. Fuel evaporation gas in the adsorbent chamber 3 is sucked into an engine from a fuel evaporation gas introduction chamber 6 through an intake pipe 13 by means of air introduced from a atmosphere introduction chamber 7. In the constitution stated above, an atomospheric port part of the atomosphere introduction chamber 7 is provided with, for instance, a screening wall 8 in stepped state attached thereto. It is prevented thereby that muddy water and the like invades the canister case 1 from outside to inside.

CONSTITUTION:This canister is constituted of a main vessel 1, a sub-vessel 2, a filter 5, a purge pipe 6, a fuel tank pipe 7 and an atmospheric open pipe 8. Among them, the purge pipe 6 is connected to an engine intake pipe, and the fuel tank pipe 7 is connected to a fuel tank. In addition, the atmospheric open pipe 8 is opened to the atmosphere. When the active carbon 5 is communicated by vibration and so on, a cavity is produced on top of the main vessel 1, but in this canister, the active carbon of the sub-vessel 2 is made so as to be moved to the lower part, so that the inside of the main vessel 1 comes to be filled up with the active carbon 5 at all times.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the absorbability of an adsorbent without increasing the size of a canister, by enchancing the efficacy of the adsorbent by attaching a filter to the open end of an inner pot, and vaporizing fuel liquefied in the inner pot after impregnating the liquefied fuel over the entire surface of the filter. CONSTITUTION:A grid 12b is fixed to a stepped portion at the lower and of an inner pot 9, and a filter 13b is attached to the lower surface of the grid 12b in the manner of covering the entire surface thereof. The filter 13b is urged upward by a pad 17 made of a spring steel plate to force pawls 18 onto the side faces of the inner pot 9. The reason to keep the filter 13b in contact with the entire lower surface of the inner pot 9 is for producing fuel vapor also from the peripheral portion of the filter 13b and for thereby imparting the fuel vapor to an adsorbent 7 over a wide range.
