摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the spark collection efficiency of a collector for sparks produced by a grinder or the like, by furnishing the collector with a noncombustible box having a suction port and a discharge port, and with a chamber defined as a blind alley by a noncombustible partition plate in the box. CONSTITUTION:A spark collector 10 comprises a noncombustible box 20, a chamber 30 shaped as a blind alley, and a noncombustible dust container 40. The box 20, a case 21, a packing 22 and a lid 23 constitute an enclosed vessel. The case 21 has a suction port 24 in a portion and a discharge port 25 in another portion. The chamber 30 is defined by a noncombustible partition plate 31 in the box 20 and shaped as a blind alley so that substances cannot pass through the chamber. The chamber 30 is provided with a spark inflow port 32 opposed to the downstream portion of the suction port 24. The partition plate 31, which defines the spark inflow port 32 is bent into the chamber 30 so that sparks flowing into the chamber cannot fly out of it. For this reason, the sparks introduced into the chamber 30 through the suction port 24 are caught without being carried away by air flow.
