摘要： PURPOSE:To shut off steam by a small and light member and to reduce the size of a structure, by a method wherein the cross around pipe of a low pressure turbine forms a vertical piping in the vicinity of a turbine inlet part and runs to the under surface of an operation floor, and two batterfly valves are installed in the piping. CONSTITUTION:A cross around pipe 22 of a low pressure turbine 9 forms a vertical piping 22a in the vicinity of a turbine inlet part, and extended to the under surface of an operation floor 18, two batterfly valves 16a and 16b being located in the horizontal part (or vertical part) of the pipe. This enables reduc tion of the size and the weight of two batterfly valves compared with a combina tion intermediate valve fored with a conventional intercept valve and an interme diate steam check valve, and also permits reduction of a shield structure 26'.

摘要： PURPOSE:To intend reduction in the construction cost and facilitation of the periodic check-up operation by constituting an intercept valve for adjusting the steam flow to a low-pressure steam turbine and an intermediary steam check valve as a back-up device for said valve by means of butterfly valves, respectively. CONSTITUTION:The steam produced in a reactor is supplied via cross-around pipe 5 to a low-pressure turbine 9 after being make free from moisture in steam by a moisture liberating reheater. In this case, a combined intermediary valve is installed at the entrance of the low-pressure turbine 9, with two butterfly valves 1a, 1b and one safety valve 4 contained in a valve box. One of the butterfly valves 1a is allowed to function as an intercept valve, which prevents a large capacity of the steam accumulated in the cross-around pipe 5 from accelerating the low-pressure turbine 9 in a critical state in case of an emergency cutoff. The other butterfly valve 1b is allowed to function as an intermediary steam check valve as a back-up device for the intercept value by cutting off the steam flow during a load shut-off.
