摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily retrieve related information by using past retrieval operation information extracted from an access history. SOLUTION: An access monitor 1 always monitors access to information by a user, and updates an access history data base 3 which is divided by users. At retrieval time, information in the access history database 3 is displayed on a screen by extracting information which is arranged and saved by using the access user and time as keys. For the rearrangement of the access history, the time intervals of records of the access history are checked and when there is an interval larger than a certain value, it is considered that operation is paused and the access history is sectioned to generate clusters. Documents included in the respective clusters are ordered according to the access frequencies and documents having higher access frequencies are considered to be valuable, and arranged and displayed on the screen. Consequently, the know-how obtained by user's past operation can be utilized for information retrieval.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a general purpose document registering method capable of sharply reducing the quantity of overlapped data and a general document editing device capable of compressing normal information without encoding it. CONSTITUTION:The input data of one information for registering a character, a graphic or the like are edited to a record (attribute value) having an overlap idendifier (ID) and a record (coordinate value) having no overlap ID (S101). The sort of a new record whose edition has been completed is judged (S103) and the record having the ID is compared with a registered record (S104). When the same record is retrieved, the registration number of the same record is outputted without newly registering the record (S106) and the same record is added to the record (coordinate value) having no overlap ID. The record having no ID is immediately registered as a new record (S105). When there is no same record as an ID included data to be newly registered, the record concerned is registered and its registration number is outputted.

The dictionaries used at that time are set to be the dictionary 6 to which the user can register the words and the phrases, and the dictionary 7 to which technical terms are previously registered. Then, the efficiency of an extraction processing is improved, and the general words and the phrases which hardly come to the key words are prevented from being extracted. Furthermore, the extracted key word is held in the key word buffer 12. Thus, the key word included in given document data is automatically extracted without being designated as the key word at every input, and it can be used as the key word for generating the index of the document and for retrieving the document.
