    • PURPOSE:To lower thermal stress that may be induced in each of segments, by making the part between a blade and a side wall of a gas turbine stator blade to have a loose fit structure, the gas turbine stator blade being an assembly of segments each comprising the blade and side walls. CONSTITUTION:In a stator blade segment provided with one or more blades 1 between outer and inner side walls, to assemble the blade 1, fixing jigs 13, 14 are used. In the assembling, the blade 1 provided with the fixing jigs 13, 14 at the opposite ends is inserted from above of the outer side wall 2 and the fixing jig 14 is fixed by the inner side wall 3 and a welded section 15. The fixing jig 13 has steps and includes a structure that can engage with the outer side wall 2, and the wall 2 and the jig 13 are not fixed. To prevent cooling air from leaking between the outer side wall 2 and the fixing jig 13, if required, a sealing plate 16 is attached over the boundary between them and is fixed by a welded section 17.

    • PURPOSE:To increase the working efficiency of a gas turbine, by inserting a thin-walled, toroidal sealing ring between the casing of a gas turbine and rotor blades, and by providing a valve device to control the flow rate of cooling air at the external periphery of a sealing ring. CONSTITUTION:A thin-walled, toroidal seaing ring 6, which is made to one body with a whole periphery, is inserted into the channel, provided to the surface of an internal periphery of a wing-ring 2, while a hole 15 is opened and closed by a valve 7. A sealing ring 6 is expanded by heat to the radius direction, when a gas turbine is started, so that the ring does not touch with a labyrinth 5, if the tip of a rotor blade is stretched out. When a gas turbine comes to a steady operation, a cooling air is introduced into a valve chamber 14, a valve rod 8 is pulled up, a valve 7 is opened, so that the cooling air can flow into the surface of an external periphery of a sealing ring 6. Therefore, the sealing ring 6 is contracted, and the clearance betweeh the tip of a rotor blade and a labyrinth 5 becomes narrow. In this manner, the clearance at the tip of a rotor blade can be controlled in good condition, even if it is in a casing of a thick-walled, and water- surface-divided structure.

    • PURPOSE:To measure the distortional distribution of a construction which is to be used at a high temperature by adhering many elements made of thin wires of a heat proof metallic to the construction and observing the change of resistance caused by the temperature and distortion of these elements. CONSTITUTION:Melted heat-proof insulator 2 is applied on the upper surfae of construction 1, many elements 3a-3d made of minute wires of heat-proof metallic material are arrayed on the insulator 2 and then melted heat-proof insultor 2 is applied again over the elements 3 to fix them. In addition, the elements 3 are adhered to a small testing chip and the change of resistance cuased by the change of temperature and repeated distortion should be observed to grasp the temperature distribution, distortional distribution and the number of repeated times of distortion from element 3 adhered to construction 1. Thus, the distribution of temperature and distortion of construction 1 can be measured quantitatively and the damage of construction 1 can be prevented by measuring the distortion.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce stress of a rotor, by providing an axial flow compressor device to a space formed between the rotor and the internal surface of a nozzle box and flowing cooling steam, which flows in through a hole extended through a stationary blade, into the upstream of the rotor through pumping action of said axial flow compressor device. CONSTITUTION:A space S formed between a rotor 7 and the internal surface of a nozzle box 1 is communicated to a passage 22 extended through a stationary blade 2, and a screw seal 8 is provided to a surface of the rotor 7. Rotation of the rotor 7 causes pumping action of the screw seal 8, and cooling steam flowing in via the passage 22 is penetratively circulated to the upstream of the rotor 7. In this way, since the rotor 7 can be cooled without causing the necessity for forming an annular train of holes in a disc part of the rotor 7, the generation of concentrated stress due to the hole can be prevented.
