CONSTITUTION:If a division code is read out of a key code memory 303, the vertical/horizontal rang of a block including a cursor is acquired from an internal buffer 304. The texts included in said range are all stored in a work area. Then these texts are put into one of divided blocks. When a code means connection in the memory 303, the position information on two point showing a range of connection are obtained by a cursor, etc. Then the texts of the blocks to be connected together are successively stored in the work area. The stored texts are rearranged in the connected blocks.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent overlapping with an already displayed part and to facilitate recognition by displaying or printing a corrected part between lines of a having been printed parts at the time of inputting, editing and correcting a character. CONSTITUTION:When a central control unit 1 controlling a documentation device detects an input from a keyboard 6, it decides an input key. When it is a cursor moving key, the unit 1 executes a cursor position control, and when it is a character key, the unit 1 executes a character display and printing processing. Afterward, the unit 1 updates and cursor position and the printing position. Then such a decision is made whether or not a new printing position lies within the old printing range. If the new one lies in the old range, whether or not the position of the printer character printing part is present above or below the current line is checked. If said position is just on the line position, the printer character printing part is shifted between lines, and the subsequent input is printed between lines. Thus the new printing will not overlap with the having been printed part when it is again recognized at the time of the additional input, edition and correction, and the recognition can be made easily.

Thus it is possible to supply display and print the numerical data in an easy-to- understand form. This attains the production of graphs with high input operability and high display and print functions.

Then, necessity of adjustment on the line-end is judged in the character pattern producing program by checking the number of characters for one line. Namely, printing pattern data are produced with character pitches widened or narrowed, depending on situation wherein the number of characters in the line concerned is smaller or larger by one character than the number of character for one line in document control information, or the printing pattern data are produced, as occasion demands, with deletion made in the character patterns or with character pitches unchanged. Then, the printing pattern data are outputted to a printing apparatus.

Namely, character pitches sent from the character pattern data 65 through character pattern address 63-3 are widened with reference made to adjustment information 63-2 for each of the character. Then, justification is made with the adjustment made to character pictches, and thereby the printing pattern data 66 for one line are produced.

摘要： PURPOSE:To facilitate and speed up insertion printing operation by storing a control procedure storage means with a control procedure which inputs a character code, etc., at the time of printing interruption, displays and prints it on a display means and a printing means respectively, and stores it in a temporary storage means. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 10 converts the character codes of a document stored in a RAM 14 into character patterns by using a character generator 11 and sends the patterns to the printer 3. When a printing interruption control code is detected, the printing is interrupted and a mode where editing and proofreading are possible is entered. Then the liquid-crystal display unit 2 displays the line of the printing interruption code as the head. The RAM 14 is provided with an area for character codes, etc., to be edited and proofread during the interruption of the printing and character codes which are generated during the interruption are stored. Consequently, the printing interruption code is put in the document and, for example, an address is inputted and printed newly, so that an insertion document which is altered only partially is generated.
