    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate influence of a suction up height by detecting pressure in a pump device by a pressure sensor, starting pump operation when a pressure drop is recognized, stopping a pump when the pressure becomes constant, and seizing time when the pump pressure drops by a fixed pressure quantity. SOLUTION: Pressure of a pump 2 is detected by a pressure sensor 5, and when a pressure drop is detected, the pump 2 is started and operated. When the pressure becomes constant, the pump 2 is stopped, and time until pump pressure reaches a fixed pressure drop quantity is measured. When necessary time is shorter than preset time, it is judged as being not less than a stopping flow rate, and pump operation is resumed. When the necessary time is longer than the preset time, it is judged as being not more than a preset stopping flow rate, and a pressure value at judging time is stored as a pump shutoff pressure, and it is put in a standby condition. Therefore, a pump device can be operated and stopped by a pressure switch or the like without fixing an operation starting pressure value and an operation stopping pressure value, and influence of a suction-up height is not exerted.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate and stop a pump device without fixing an operation starting pressure value and an operation stopping pressure value by stopping a pump for a fixed time, and judging a flow rate by seizing a pressure variation at that time after confirming that detecting pressure does not change for a fixed time by storing the detecting pressure at all times. SOLUTION: A solution plug is opened up to opening A from time T1 to T3. At the time T3, pump pressure becomes constant (P1). A microcomputer recognizes that the pump pressure is constant (P1), and restarts a pump at time T4 after stopping it during time ΔT. Therefore, the microcomputer detects a pressure drop quantity ΔP, and judges a present flow rate, and compares it with a preset stopping flow rate. When judged that it is not less than the stopping flow rate, the pump is continuously operated. When the solution plug is closed up to opening B from time T5 to T6, the microcomputer recognizes the pump pressure becomes constant (P2), and restarts the pump at time T7 after stopping it during time ΔT, and compares a present flow rate with a preset flow rate. When judged that it is less than the preset flow rate, the pump is stopped.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable adjustment of the body of an electric vacuum cleaner constantly to the completed state thereof by arranging an arithmetic section and a memory means in a control circuit of the electric vacuum cleaner. SOLUTION: When an adjustment start command is outputted from a remote control transmitter 18 by a control box 30, the body 1 of an electric vacuum cleaner receives a signal with a remote control receiving section 6 to start an electric blower. A microcomputer controls an input of the electric blower so that an output from a current detection circuit coincides with a target current value stored in a memory circuit. A control box 30 reads the input at which the both coincide from a wattmeter 29 and compares the input with a target input to generate an adjusting signal, which is outputted from the transmitter 18. The body 1 corrects a target current value based on the adjusting signal and the input of the electric blower 8 is controlled again so that it reaches the corrected target current value. When coincidence is made, the body 1 stores the final target current value into the memory circuit. In the operation thereafter, the electric blower can be controlled by the target power using the value.

    • PURPOSE:To forcibly generate changes in operational state by a method wherein a suction port as an attachment of a vacuum cleaner has a construction so that the contact state between the suction port and a floor to be cleaned is changed. CONSTITUTION:For example, a suction port 7 is equipped with a wheel 13, and a spring 14 is put between the suction port 7 and the wheel 13 so that the pressure is forcibly changed with constriction and expansion of the spring 14. The change value of the pressure is detected to judge whether or not cleaning is under way, and when cleaning is not carried out, control is performed so as to reduce the rotating speed of an electric fan. Thus, changes in pressure can easily be generated at the suction port where changes in pressure are hardly generated, that allows easily judging whether or not cleaning is under way. Control is carried out so as to reduce the rotating speed of the electric fan when it is Judged that cleaning is not carried out, resulting in energy saving.
