摘要： The electrodes (29) have jet openings (26) which jet the electrolyte (31) to the steel strip (1), that is to say, the electrode is integrated with the nozzle which jets an electrolyte. By jetting the electrolyte to the steel strip in the air and applying a voltage to the electrode, the scale on the surface of the steel strip is removed. By jetting the electrolyte in the air, there is reduction in the size of an electrolyte tank storing the electrolyte, because the required quantity of an electrolyte decreases. Therefore, the descaling apparatus is miniaturized. Short-circuit electric current through electrolyte between electrodes decreases, and thereby the electric power efficiency improves. By individually adjusting the jet pressure of the electrolyte jets, the waving and the flexure of the steel strip is prevented, and we can arrange the electrodes close to the steel strip to reduce electric power. Providing many electrodes is accomplished because of the reduction in short circuit current and the improves the speed of the descaling because the electric current to the steel strip increases.

摘要： A continuous hot-dip plating apparatus comprises a roll assembly (14, 15) having superior resistance to erosion caused by the hot melt (16) of the plating metal, as well as high resistance to wear of the sliding portions of roll shafts (18) and bearings (19) which are used in the hot melt (16) of the plating metal. A ceramics is mounted on the sliding portions of the metallic roll shafts (18) making sliding contact with the metallic bearings (19) and/or on the sliding surfaces of the metallic bearings (19) which slidingly contact the sliding portions of the metallic roll shafts (18). The material of the ceramics serving as a sliding member is selected taking into account the wettability to the hot melt (16) of the plating metal. At least one of each, the sliding portion of the metal roll shaft (18) and the sliding surface of the associated bearing (19) is provided with a ceramic material which exhibits a large wettability to the hot melt (16) of the plating metal.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove scale at high speed without causing rough surface by feeding current to a steel strip immersed in hydrochloric acid containing an oxidizing agent or a reducing agent. SOLUTION: Electrolysis in which the current flows in a steel strip is also used to promote solution of scales in hydrochloric acid. In the cathode region, the solution reaction expressed by formulae I, II is generated and the de-scaling promoting action is generated by the film peeling effect by the gas generating reaction expressed by the formula III. A base metal of the steel strip is a cathode, and no iron elusion is generated, and rough surface of the steel strip can be prevented. In the anode region, the iron solution reaction expressed by formula IV is generated. Because the gas is generated in accordance with formula V, the de-scaling promoting action by the film peeling effect is generated. In addition, when the reducing agent is added in hydrochloric acid, the electron to be emitted when the reducing agent is oxidized is fed to an oxide film to generate the reactions of formulae I, II to promote the de-scaling. When the oxidizing agent is added, the voltage at the anode is boosted to promote the de-scaling.
