    • PURPOSE:To attain less deformation at processing and to provide a high roundness by forming axially a cylinder part for chuck whose outer circumference is gripped at processing close to a mating part of a disc inner circumference part to a disc. CONSTITUTION:The cylinder part 12 for chuck whose outer circumference is gripped at processing close to the mating part of the inner circumference part to the disc 5 is formed axially to a rotary drum 7. The inner diameter of the cylinder part 12 for chuck is formed larger than the inner diameter of the mating part 13 to the disc 5. Points K, L of the outer circumference of the cylinder part 12 for chuck are chucked and gripped toward the arrow Q by a grip part C of a split chuck part 14 at processing and a byte is moved toward the arrows F, H, G so as to work out the outer circumference, the mating part 13 and an end face. The deformation of the outer circumference of the rotary drum 7 is decreased remarkably by gripping the cylinder part 12 for chuck by means of the chuck part 12 in this way and the outer circumference is formed as a roundness curve 12 close to a true circle 10.

    • PURPOSE:To provide non-magnetic material for a substrate on which an Fe-Ni system or Fe-Al-Si system magnetic metal film is formed by physical deposition method. CONSTITUTION:Oxide material, which is expressed by NixMn2-x (where 0.05 / deg.C which is nearly the same as alpha of an Fe-Ni system or Fe-Al-Si system magnetic metal film. When above composition, as a main component, is doped by dopants such as Al, Cr, Si, Sn and Ba, higher flux density can be obtained so that this invention can be applied with the same effect to the composition whose alpha is approximately the same as that of the Fe-Ni system or Fe-Al-Si system magnetic metal film.

    • PURPOSE:To calculate the attitude of mounting a magnetic head on a rotary cylinder by measuring the surface shape of a magnetic head left mounted on a rotary cylinder depending on the interference of light. CONSTITUTION:A laser light from a laser oscillator 3 is expanded with a beam expander 5 and divided in two directions with a half mirror 5. One of the beams is reflected with a mirror 6 and enters a TV camera 8 through a half mirror 5 again. The other thereof focuses with a convex lens 7, reflected on the surface of a rotary cylinder 2 moving with a fine adjusting base 9 or the surface the magnetic head 1 and enters the TV camera 8 through the convex lens 7 and the half mirror 5. Two lights forms an interference fringe on the TV camera 8 thereby enabling the measurement of distance.

    • PURPOSE:To coat a resist at a uniform thickness by a method wherein, after a jig used to fix a square semiconductor substrate has been vacuum-sucked and the resist has been coated, a baking operation is executed while the substrate has been fixed to the jig. CONSTITUTION:A substrate fixation jig for resist coating use which fixes a square semiconductor substrate 4 is constituted of a circular wing part 1 and a recessed part 3 used to fix the square semiconductor substrate 4. A rotatable stage 6 is housed inside outer-surrounding covers 7, 8 of a resist coater. A hole 10 used to vacuum-suck the substrate fixation jig 5 for resist coating use is made inside the stage 6. A recessed part 11 used to fix the square semiconductor substrate 4 is formed in the jig 5. A coated resist does not creep to the rear of the square semiconductor substrate; a temperature difference is not caused in the substrate 4; the resist can be coated without irregularity; the jig 5 can be detached from the stage 6; accordingly, a baking operation can be executed while the substrate 4 has been fixed to the jig 5. It is possible to prevent the coated resist from being damaged by tweezers or the like or a resist thickness from becoming non-uniform at an edge of the substrate 4.
