    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide traffic information such as congestion information only to a vehicle which really needs it without increasing the communication traffic when providing the traffic information to adjacent vehicles in inter-vehicular communication. SOLUTION: Inter-vehicular communication information to be transmitted from a vehicle to the other vehicle in the onboard communication device contains relay information consisting of an information generation vehicle ID, an information generation place, and a relay valid distance. The onboard communication device of the vehicle which received the inter-vehicular communication information calculates its own position from GPS, and determines a distance from the information generation place. When the determined distance is not larger than the received relay distance, this onboard communication device broadcast-transmits the received relay distance while including it in the inter-vehicular communication information. When the determined distance is larger than the received relay distance, the onboard communication device ignores the received inter-vehicular communication information or does not perform the broadcast transmission thereof.
