    • A magnetic pickup cartridge in which a disc-shaped magnet is mounted in coaxial relation on the rear end of a stylus arm having a stylus mounted on the front end thereof and is magnetized in the same direction as the axial direction of the stylus arm. This magnet is disposed in an air gap of a pair of magnetic circuits so that voltage can be induced in coils disposed in the magnetic circuits with the vibrations of the magnet. The stylus arm is pivotally supported at the rear end thereof by a pivot comprising a needle and a needle engaging member, and the magnet is pressed against a supporting member disposed on the side remote from the rear end of the stylus arm so that the magnet and stylus arm can vibrate around the pivot point by being supported by the pivot and supporting member to induce voltage in the coils.

    • PURPOSE: To perform image treatment and post-treatment within a time almost equal to a recording time not performing post-treatment by shortening a recording time per one color of three-color recording when recording containing a process performing the post-treatment of a recording image by heating a treatment layer in succession to image recording is performed. CONSTITUTION: Transfer paper is automatically discriminated by detecting the display means provided to a cartridge by an optical means. When transfer paper having a treatment frame is detected, a changeover means 9 designates a recording made containing a post-treatment process and, when a recording command is issued, a system controller 2 receives recording data containing post-treatment from a current supply data memory part 4 to send the same to a medium contrast control part 3. The medium contrast control part 3 sends the current supply pulse corresponding to the current supply data to a thermal head to record three colors of yellow, magenta and cyan on yellow, magenta and cyan ink surfaces 10Y, 10M, 10C and the surface of recorded image receiving paper is heated in a treatment layer frame 10X.

    • PURPOSE:To sufficiently reduce the resistance value of a common electrode and to achieve miniaturization and cost reduction, by using a small heat generator substrate to which chamfering is applied to form the common electrode to the substrate as a thick film so as to reach the chamfering part from the end surface thereof and forming a membrane common electrode to the main plane of the substrate so as to superpose the same on the thick film common electrode at the chamfering part. CONSTITUTION:Chamfering 13 is applied to the corner part where the main plane 11 and end surface 12 of a heat generator substrate 10 formed from an insulator composed of alumina ceramic or the like cross each other. A thick film common electrode 14 is formed so as to reach the chamfering part 13 from the end surface 12 and the membrane common electrode 15 formed on the main plane 11 is superposed on the thick film common electrode at the chamfering part to be electrically connected thereto. An oblique surface 20 is formed to a part of a heat radiating substrate 19 composed of a good conductor and a heat generator substrate 10 is mounted along the oblique surface so that the end surface of the common electrode becomes a lower side to be fixed by an adhesive. The side end surface of the individual electrode 18 of the heat generator substrate is abutted to the step part 21 corresponding to the thickness of the heat generator substrate 10 provided to the heat radiating substrate 19 to be fixed thereto.

    • PURPOSE:To suppress heat accumulation in a thermal recording head and enhance color forming efficiency while maintaining the quality of printed image, by bringing a printing paper into close contact with a sublimable dye ink layer on a transfer paper, bringing electrodes of the thermal recording head into close contact with a resistive conductor layer of the transfer paper, and energizing the layer to generate heat, thereby subliming the ink. CONSTITUTION:Concurrently with rotation of a platen 9, a transfer paper 11 is moved, is drawn out from a reel 22, and is taken up around a reel 23, while individual electrodes 18 of a thermal recording head 20 are sequentially selected for energization and the accompanying heat generation at the part of a resistive conductor layer 12 in close contact with projected insulating parts 17, whereby transfer from the transfer paper 11 onto a printing paper 10 is performed, and a desired image is recorded on the printing paper 10. Since the quantity of a sublimable dye ink sublimed depends on the temperature and time of the heat generation at the energized parts of the resistive conductor layer 12, variations in printed density can be generated by varying the energization time, whereby a gradational image can be obtained. In addition, since the resistive conductor layer 12 provided on the transfer paper 1 generates heat, the heat is efficiently transmitted to a sublimable dye ink layer 14, and color forming efficiency is markedly enhanced.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent dimensional fluctuation of a pixle, by forming a heating element on the surface of a thin insulating resilient member and constructing a thermal head such that a supporting member for said resilient member and the heating element are thermally insulated, thereby reducing production of available energy and making the dimension at the heating section constant. CONSTITUTION:A heating element 4 is sufficiently thin when compared with a supporting film 6, where the heating element 4 is composed of electrically resistant material and provided with a protection film 11 for protecting the heating element 4 from oxidation upon heating. Under the condition where the supporting film 6 deforms resiliently along the curvature of an intermediate recording medium 2 which is pressed against the surface of the protection film 11, the protection film 11 and the intermediate recording medium 2 are contacting tightly thereby thermal loss is scarcely, produced. The thickness and the specific heat of the recording medium 1 and the intermediate recording medium 2 is approximately the same as those of the supporting film 6, and when the heating element 6 is heated, approximately 90% of the produced heat is transmitted to the intermediate recording medium 2 and the recording medium 1. In other word, the thermal resistance between the heating element 4 and the recording medium 1 or the intermediate recording medium 2 is far smaller than that between the heating element 4 and a frame 7 during usage, thereby the intermediate recording medium 2 and the recording medium 1 can be heated efficiently.
