    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door device for an elevator capable of detecting a passenger who are about to get in a car during door closing action.
      SOLUTION: A detecting means installed above a doorway of the elevator to detect an article passing through the doorway, is made from a reflecting type beam sensor 11 disposed at a doorway center, having light emitting/receiving portion emitting/receiving infrared light, and detecting the article by reflecting light which is the irradiated infrared light strikes on the article and reflected. A detection range 12 is set to have a value of 100-300 mm in a width direction of the doorway at a door passing position. A light emitting/receiving axis of the infrared light is tilted in a landing direction by a prescribed angle, and the passenger who are about to get in the car 6 can be detected on a landing side until when a door is about to fully close.
