    • PURPOSE:To achieve high density recording with a simple constitution by incorporating a write circuit in a rotary head part, sending the signal having been so modulated that DC components become zero through a rotary transformer and converting this to NRZ-I type and recording the same. CONSTITUTION:The write signal A is converted to the signal having no DC components by an inversion circuit 2, delay circuit 3 and modulation circuit 1 consisting of an AND gate 4 taking positive AND and AND gate 5 taking negative AND and this signal is supplied to the primary side of a rotary transformer 8. The signal induced in the secondary side of the rotary transformer 8 of the rotary head part is erased of the pulses on the negative side in a rectifier circuit 9 and flows write current to a magnetic head 12 through an NRZ-I conversion circuit 10. Hence, the current of a negative direction always flows after the current of a positive direction in the primary side of the rotary transformer 8 and no DC components are contained and therefore writing may be performed with high recording density by the use of the NRZ-I modulation system.

    • PURPOSE:To improve reliability by a simple constitution by arranging a pressure- sensing conductive rubber sheet in the depth direction of a tape loop pulled in by negative pressure in the vacuum column of a tape driver. CONSTITUTION:Over tip 8 of a tape loop, atmospheric pressure P0 is applied on metallic foil 10 of rubber sheet 9, and load Pv is on the right side of rubber sheet 9, so that rubber sheet 9 will be applied with the pressure. Electric conduction is therefore caused between metallic foil 10, and terminals S1-S5. Under tip 8 of the tape loop, on the other hand, negative pressure Pv is applied on metallic foil 10 and the right side of rubber sheet 9 and no pressure is applied on rubber sheet 9, so that no conduction will be caused. As a result, a boundary between terminals in conduction and the others among S1-S8 represents tip position 8 of the tape loop and it can be accurately detected by a simple circuit constitution.

    • PURPOSE:To use exclusively a vertical magnetized layer for a data signal, and to increase a storage capacity by recording a servo-track signal in a horizontal magnetized layer, in a magnetic recording medium having the vertical magnetized layer and the horizontal magnetized layer. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic recording medium has a structure which has coated a horizontal magnetized layer 2 and a vertical magnetized layer 1 in this order, on a base body 3. Also, with respect to a bit width of the vertical magnetized layer 1, a bit width of the horizontal magnetized layer 2 is set to its ten times or so. When a current is made to flow to a coil 14 of a servo-head 13, a magnetic flux 17 is generated. The servo-head 13 is provided in the vicinity of a vertical recording magnetic head 4, and as for the head 13, a magnetic flux density of the magnetic flux 17 to the vertical magnetized layer 1 is made lower than that of a head 4. Accordingly, the magnetic flux 17 magnetizes the horizontal magnetized layer 2 without exerting an influence on the vertical magnetized layer 1. Also, in a gap 16 of the head 13, an azimuth angle theta is provided to the head 4. Accordingly, a data signal 8 of the layer 1 and a servo-track signal 18 of the layer 2 have the azimuth angle, a mutual interference of both of them can be prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To correct the position of a head accurately by reproducing signals of slightly different frequencies from a disk on which said signals are recorded while partially shifting in a circumferential direction at equal intervals at the inside and outside of an optional track on the magnetic disk. CONSTITUTION:In areas A and B having width W centering on positions which are at distance DELTAr/2 at the inside and outside of a track 4 at distance (r) from the center of a disk, signals having slightly different frequencies f0 and f0+DELTAf1 are recorded. Those areas A and B have differences DELTAT1 and DELTAT2 in recording time. When the signals are reproduced from the magnetic disk through a reproducing head 3 with width W, signals having the same level are produced from the parts DELTAT1 and DELTAT2, and a beat signal DELTAf1 with a minimum value DELTA is obtained from a part T1-DELTAT1 as far as the center of the reproducing head 3 coincides with the track 4 correctly. For example, the reproducing head is displaced to a side B, the minimum beat value is reduced to zero with VB>VA. Thus, the direction and extent of the shifting of the head 3 are judged and correction to a correct position is facilitated.
