摘要： A bias cleaning system has an electrically conductive brush roller for collecting toner which has to adhered a transfer belt by scrubbing the toner off the transfer belt under a condition in which a direct current voltage of the opposite polarity to the charge of the toner is applied to the brush roller. A corona charger is also provided for decreasing the amount of charge on the toner on the transfer belt in a region of the belt up-stream of the electrically conductive brush roller in the moving direction of the transfer belt.

摘要： Developer unit (2) has control unit reacting to output signals received from first toner density detector (2j) to drive developer powder from infeed from mixing unit (3) to developer unit, with infeed of powder into mixing chamber blocked during developer power refill time. Developer unit (2) has developer container (2a) for two component developer powder (D). Lower part of container has conveying roller (2b), developer rollers (2c,d,e) to feed developer to specific section of photosensitive drum (1). Toner density sensor (2j) outputs toner refill signal to control unit (5) when toner density decreases. Controller activates mixing unit roller (3f) to deliver developer to developer unit. Amount delivered is monitored in real time by developer amount sensor (3h). Mixing unit (3) is located between developer unit and toner tank (4). It has mixing chamber (3a) and inlet (3b) to accept developer fed there by roller (2c) and feed roller (3f) to output developer to unit (2). Mixing unit has toner density sensor (3g) which provides signal to activate toner feed roller (4b) by control unit (5).

摘要： The fixing unit comprises a fixing drum (1) revolving round a heater (2) and a pressure roller (3) revolving in the opposite direction. 摘要： An electrostatic recording control method wherein there are provided a single surface potential sensor between a first and second developer units, a detector for detecting the characteristic of a factor influencing the dark attenuation characteristic of the sensitive body, comprising the steps of: irradiating the surface of a charged sensitive body with the test pattern having prescribed exposure energy by an exposure system to form a test electrostatic image on the photosensitive body; passing the test electrostatic latent image with the developing function of the first developer unit stopping to measure the surface potential of the test electrostatic latent image by the sensor; changing the control setting potential at a position where the sensor is set according to the output from the detector; comparing the potential measured by the passing step with the control setting potential changed by the changing step to control one of the voltage to be applied to the latent image forming charger and the exposure energy for forming the test pattern so that the measurement potential is a control setting potential; forming a test electrostatic latent image on the photosensitive body after the comparing step; applying a prescribed bias to the first developer unit to form the first toner image corresponding to the test electrostatic latent image; and measuring the surface potential of the first toner image to set the bias voltage of the second developer unit according to the value measured.
