摘要： In a multi-stage roll magnetic brush type of developing device, at least two opposite direction rotation rolls which rotate in an opposite rotation direction to that of a photosensitive body are arranged adjacently and oppositely to a photosensitive body, and at least one same direction rotation developing roll which rotates in the same rotation direction as that of the photosensitive body is arranged adjacently, oppositely to the photosensitive body and upstream of the opposite direction rotation developing rolls in the rotation direction of the photosensitive body. Thus, the path of carrying the developer by the same direction rotation developing roll and the opposite direction rotation developing rolls can be optimized. In the wide area printing at high speed, an image with stabilized printing quality can be obtained without an increase in the production cost.

The time from the page head signal 1 to the head 6 of the image region is changed by the print pattern, the high-level region of the output 3 of the peeling current is changed in response to this time, thereby the peeling property of the sheet 4 is stabilized.

The load preventing plate 3 made of a material having high rigidity is attached to the lead spring 2 in a direction where load is imposed by the toner 4. The load imposed on the leaf spring 2 is reduced by the load preventing plate 3. Therefore, the pressing force (f) of the spring 2 to the shaft 1 is made weak, and the toner is supplied to the developing machine without being solidified.

Namely, a motor 12 is continuously rotated so as to move a belt 5, regardless of ON or OFF of the printing operation signal 1, and hence deformation of the belt due to local heating by means of the heat roller 3 of a fixing device is prevented. Similarly, by intermittently rotating the belt 5 during non-printing operation, local heating of the belt 5 is prevented and simultaneously operation power for the belt 5 is reduced. Further, the period of intermittent rotation of the belt 5 is set to be different from the period of one rotation or an integer times rotation of the belt 5, and hence the same part of the belt 5 is prevented to be stopped in the vicinity of the heat roller 3.

By the controller 10, the current (or voltage) supplied to a separation device 4 from a power source for separation 5 is decided according to a program, which is previously set, based on the information sent from the counter 9. Then, the variable control is executed. Thus, the separation device can be continuously used within the using feasible area. In such a manner, the quantity of positive and negative AC corona discharged from the separation device 4 is variably controlled and the destaticizing quantity of the paper can be kept constant.
