    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To pick up images in conformity with a size, a shape, a thickness in an X-ray transmission direction, structural precision, etc., of a device or container to be diagnosed, by setting a plurality of X-ray generation apparatuses a the like of different X-ray generation focal points in a manner to be switchable. SOLUTION: Two or more X-ray generation apparatuses of different X-ray generation focal points are set in a manner to be switchable. For instance, an X-ray generation apparatus 8 and a microfocus X-ray generation apparatus 10 are loaded on a moving stage 11 together with a CCD camera 9, and the moving stage 11 loaded on a Y-directional moving stage 12 can be moved in a Y direction by a ball thereby 13. An object to be inspected is set to a sample holder 2, a position of which is confirmed by the CCD camera 9. The X-ray generation apparatus 8 or microfocus X-ray generation apparatus 10 is switched to be used in accordance with a precision state of a diagnosis part of the object to be diagnosed. The X-ray generation focal point can thus be changed. Alternatively, an X-ray detection medium can be changed in accordance with the precision state of the diagnosis part.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the identification of contents in a container, bag, apparatus, etc., by superimposing a neutron radioscopic image on an x-ray radioscopic image and displaying it. SOLUTION: An object to be inspected (container, bag, etc.), is mounted on a supporting and rotating platform 2, and the supporting and rotating platform 2 is rotated and moved by a motor 3. A neutron source 5 is arranged in the proximity of the object to be inspected 1, and a neutron image intensifier 6 is arranged at a location facing the neutron source 5 to measure a neutron radioscopic image signal. In addition, an X-ray generating device 7 is arranged in the proximity of the object to be inspected, and an x-ray image intensifier 8 is arranged at a location facing the X-ray generating device 7 to measure an X-ray radioscopic image signal. The signals from the image intensifiers 6 and 7 are sent to an image processing device 11, and the processed signals are stored in a storage device 12. A computational device 13 receives the input of data stored in the storage device 12, superimposes a neutron radioscopic image on an X-ray radioscopic image and displays it on a monitor 14. By this. it is possible to make the most of the characteristics of X-rays and neutrons.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quantitatively grasp a thinning state of pipings, etc., in a nondestructive manner without disassembling the pipings, etc., by analyzing images with the use of X-ray trnasmission information of shading values of every unit pixel of the pipings, etc., obtained by projecting X rays to the pipings, etc. SOLUTION: An X-ray generator 1 and an X-ray detector 3 are arranged to face each other via a piping 2 coated with a thermal insulation material 10. X rays 1a are projected to the piping 2 from the X-ray generator 1 and X-ray transmission information is obtained at the X-ray detector 3. Then, an information converter 5 converts the obtained X-ray trnasmission information to converted information analyzable by an analyzing apparatus 6. The analyzing apparatus 6 carries out image analysis with the use of the obtained X-ray transmission information of shading values for every unit pixel of the piping 2, thereby evaluating a thin state of the piping 2. If necessary, analysis information representing the evaluated thin state is recorded to a recording apparatus 7 and displayed by a display apparatus 8. Accordingly, the piping can be diagnosed with the thermal insulation material 10 or the like coat kept as it is, and a maintenance timing for the piping 2 can be managed surely.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate moving a dubious object by holding an irradiation part body of an X-ray generator to a holding body in a manner to be movable up and down, moving the irradiation part body down over the holding body when the holding body is placed on the ground, and irradiating X rays from near a surface of the ground. SOLUTION: An X-ray generator 2 of an electronic linac type has a voltage capacity of, e.g. approximately 950 keV, and is provided with an irradiation part body 4, a holding body 5, a magnetron 6 and a power supply box and operator panel 7 separately from each other. The irradiation part body 4 is held to the holding body 5 in a manner to be movable up and down, can move down to near a ground surface, and preferably can irradiate X rays from within approximately 2 cm of the ground surface. When a body 10 to be inspected is left as a dubious object on a road, the X-ray generator 2 is set to one side of the body 10 and a line sensor type X-ray detector 3 is set to the other side. The irradiation part body 4 can independently move to near the ground surface, and therefore X rays can be radiated from near the ground surface. The need of manually moving and contacting the body 10 is eliminated accordingly.
